We’ve been working on something special and are excited to finally share: We’re building a new home!

Our move will slingshot us forward in our journey to fulfill our mission: to elevate the typical eye exam into a personalized eyecare health experience.

**Maquoketa Eyecare will be merging with DeWitt Eyecare to develop a new regional eye care center. All current and prospective patients will still be seeing Dr. Hayward and his staff during the merger and beyond**

We’re always looking for ways to enhance our care for patients. This new location will allow us to:
-Provide convenient community access - we can better serve all surrounding communities with our easily accessible location just off the intersection of Highway 30 and 61 (adjacent to AmericInn, across from Spahn & Rose)
-Greatly expand our parking capacity
-Double the number of exam rooms
-Increase access for services from 1 day a week at the Maquoketa satellite office to 5 days a week at the new facility
-Triple our optical space to host the largest frame inventory in the region for patients to choose from
-Add a lens edging lab: this will decrease our turnaround time on many lenses significantly. We can conveniently fill your lens Rx faster than ever!
-Add curbside pick-up service for patients to pick up items such as glasses and contact lenses

We look forward to sharing more during our construction and moving process. Rest assured, we will make sure all current and prospective patients are well informed throughout the year-long transition. Our staff is out of the office all day (Friday, December 10th) to reflect and grow together in addition to celebrating the holidays and the end of the year. We will be available via phone during regular hours Monday, opening at 8:00AM. We are grateful for all of the patients we've been able to serve this year!

Excited for a fellow business to open this weekend! We had an event there and the Lyon's were WONDERFUL hosts and we LOVED the variety of options and tastes. Welcome and congratulations!

📣 In just 5 days, Maquoketa Brewing will be open to the public! 👏🏼 Over the next few days, we will provide a brief description of a couple of our on-tap brews to help you plan your first taste! Craft beer descriptions often feature both ABV, alcohol by volume, as well as the IBU rating. IBUs or International Bitterness Units are a general guideline to help you understand how bitter a beer may be. For those who can’t decide, we are happy to offer beer flights so you can get a taste without the commitment!

For those (heathens) who haven’t discovered the manna that is beer, we will have the following options on tap. We will also offer Truly seltzer, Coca-Cola, Bitburger (NA) and water.

6.2% ABV – Crimson Sunset Cidery, Cascade, IA
This blueberry hard cider is made from wild yeast fermented fresh pressed apples, blueberries and local raw honey. Sweet with a touch of tart and a yummy choice for those looking for an alternative to the hoppy stuff.

🍎 JackedUP: Cranberry Spiced Cider
6.2% ABV – Crimson Sunset Cidery, Cascade, IA
This hard cider is spiced and perfect for these wintery days! Wild yeast fermented fresh-pressed apples, cranberries, bisschopswijn mulling spice (from Pella, IA) and local raw honey combine for the perfect drink for these wintery days!

Santa thankfully made it to our homes! We hope all of you created some wonderful Christmas memories as a family these past few days!
