Some of the hardest words to speak are often the ones that mean the most. This one is hard for me, but here it goes.

Today we recognize pregnancy and infant loss awareness day. Pregnancy and infant loss is a difficult topic, but one that deserves to be talked about, even when the words are hard to find.

As a sonographer, I’ve experienced loss in ways that are difficult to put into words. Behind every scan is a family, a story, and so much hope. And sometimes, those moments don't end the way we prayed they would.

Sending all the love today for the parents who have experienced loss, the babies who will always be loved and remembered, and the families who carry grief with them every day.

To the families who have experienced loss, who feel anxious going into an ultrasound, who find themselves holding their breath while waiting to see a heartbeat — you are ALWAYS welcome and understood at Sweet Cheeks. You don't have to explain your feelings or pretend you're not scared.

I don't know the perfect words to say, but your baby matters. Your grief matters. And you don't have to go through it feeling unseen or forgotten.

Today and every day, we remember the babies gone too soon and the families who love them forever. (I love them forever, too.) 🕊️

This might be the first month Sweet Cheeks is COMPLETELY booked, and I truly can’t thank you all enough for the support. If you’re hoping to get in for a scan this month, I’d recommend booking sooner rather than later!

I’ll do my best to open some additional hours to accommodate more of you. Seeing this small business grow and having so many people choose Sweet Cheeks means more than you know!
