1️⃣About Karina's Health and Life Coaching:
With the relentless demands of work and life responsibilities, we find ourselves struggling in the pursuit of trying to transform our health and bodies and we are looking for something greater. Sometimes we don’t know what to do to change, but more often it’s that we are stuck in a rut and don’t know how to get out of it.

95% of our behavior occurs out of habit, either unconsciously or in reaction to external demands. That’s why we struggle to make lasting changes and even when the need for change is obvious and our intentions are strong, we often fall short. That’s a problem, and most of what the diet and health industry can offer is “Eat fewer calories and exercise more”. If that worked, it would’ve worked. Did you know that 98% of dieters gain the weight back? And that the average person makes the same health-related New Year’s resolutions ten separate times without success? Why is that? Because they don’t have support and accountability.

Doctors, dietitians and other practitioners don’t have the time or the skills to help people stay motivated and follow through to get a lasting result. So, people default to their set habits, even when they know those habits make them feel lousy. Without the right system, support and accountability, this dysfunctional cycle will continue and, in many cases, get worse. That’s where Health/Life coaches like myself come in, to provide the right SYSTEM, SUPPORT and ACCOUNTABILITY so you can-finally- make that transformation you desire and to help you achieve what you want in your life.

I offer to clients my “90 Day Health & Body Transformation Program” LEVEL UP which consist of 12 coaching sessions that result in setting up the conditions for inevitable success, discovering the foods and activities that give you the most energy for your unique body type and lifestyle, turning healthy habits into behaviors that last, which impacts you by experiencing a whole new level of strength, beauty and confidence, and having the energy to create the lifestyle you want, which can include experiencing peak health, deep harmonious relationships, a solid financial foundation and a fulfilling career. Without this help, what’s at stake for you is feeling exhausted, depleted and disconnected from yourself and everyone around you, with a sick feeling in your gut that you aren’t living the life you are meant to live.”

As your Health/Life coach, you will be challenged to question how you approach every aspect of your life and unlock your potential. You will feel empowered to create anything you desire and inspire to live your day by day in a way that is more aligned with who you want to be. If you think you can benefit from transforming your health and body, let me know and we will schedule a consultation session.

2️⃣ Strength Training at Discovery Bay Personalized Fitness Assistance: The secret to a lean and fit physique lies within every individual on the quest for such a reward. No tricks or magic potions will influence the way your body looks and feels. A beautifully shaped and tight physique, a healthy lifestyle that allows you to enjoy life to the max requires an individualized program consisting of serious resistance training, cardiovascular exercise and an adherence to a diet filled with whole foods, low in fat, and high in protein and complex carbohydrates. Through my personalized one on one training program, you will get all this in the privacy and comfort of a fully equipped studio. I put my clients though a process that teaches and helps to create lasting changes which will improve their lives. As your coach, I will teach you, I will guide you and I will push you. I will encourage you, praise you and even give you an unpleasant reality check when needed! My program will help you to get your body the best it can be! Ready to work for it?

3️⃣ Dance at Zumba with Karina: If somebody were to ask me, what things has always been a part of my life? Without even thinking, I would say, “Fitness and Dancing”. I grew up in a musical country, in a family where music was always present. I danced since I was a child. I was always a part of my school dance team, took private classes, and gave private and public dancing presentations as a group, as well as couple dancing. It was not only a way of life; it also brought me tremendous satisfaction. Today, thanks to ZUMBA, I can enjoy that passion once again and share it with others. While incorporating DANCE into my fitness routine, I am also offering the BEST cardiovascular exercise there is, “high energy interval cardio training” and ZUMBA gave me the opportunity to teach and share with everyone, all the fun, energy and benefits that cardiovascular exercise can bring, all while “having a blast”! So this page is a combination of “Health/Life Coaching, Strength Training and Dance” The 3 Component PERFECT winning Fit Combo!!!

AUGUST 2026 MOTTO:
LA VIDA ES UN CARNAVAL
HAPPY FRIDAY! 🎉

FINALLY FRIDAY… and you know what that means: another week of showing up! 🙌🏽

And today, I want to give myself, my clients, and every single one of you who put in the work and effort a little credit.

Because this stuff isn’t freaking easy. 😅

But for me, it’s also non-negotiable.

Never because I’m chasing perfection, but because I have a very clear vision of how I want to live, and I want to give myself the best chance of being in this carnival for a long time, with the ability to actually enjoy it.

We can’t control how many years we get. But we can influence the quality of the years we’re given.

I don’t just want more years.
I want more LIFE in my years.

More hikes. More dancing. More traveling. More adventures. More independence. More “YES, I CAN!” 🎭💃🏽

I talk about this ALL the time with my clients:

The first step toward creating optimal health is knowing your WHY.

Why do you want to be healthy, strong and fit?

Last week, while hiking with my husband, we were almost at the top. My legs were burning, sweat running down my face, when I looked up and saw two beautiful older women coming down the trail.

Full heads of white hair. Faces full of wrinkles, the kind that tell stories of years truly lived.

They were sweaty. Happy. Glowing with that “damn, that felt good!” kind of satisfaction.

And I thought: YES. THAT.

They reminded me of the vision I have for myself.

My WHY is simple:

I want to have the energy, focus and strength to live fully every day, and the freedom to do whatever I want, for as long as I can.

Because freedom is being able to say:

“I want to hike.”
“I want to dance.”
“I want to travel.”
“I want to go.”

…and your body says: HECK YES, LET’S GO!
VÁMONOS 😎🔥

So yes, have a FUN Friday. Celebrate the week. Enjoy your weekend.

But keep investing in the body that carries you through this life.

🎭 LA VIDA ES UN CARNAVAL, make sure you’re building a body that can keep dancing in it. 💃🏽💜💚💛

Know your WHY. Protect it. Invest in it. And keep showing up.

AUGUST 2026 MOTTO:
🎭 LA VIDA ES UN CARNAVAL.

This week, that motto hit a little differently.

On Monday morning, while on our annual summer break and ready for a week of relaxation and fun, I woke up to a flood of WhatsApp messages about the devastating earthquake that hit Colombia.

My first call was to my mom.

Hearing her voice was priceless.

Then came the calls and messages to the people we love, one by one, making sure they were safe. And with every answer came immense gratitude… mixed with fear, sadness and heartbreak for those who weren’t as lucky.

Suddenly, mortality was right there in the front page of our conversations.

It felt surreal to be standing in this beautiful place we return to year after year, finally enjoying the time we’ve been looking forward to, while thousands of miles away people we love were experiencing fear, loss and devastation.

And it reminded me:

We only have today.

Nobody is promised tomorrow.

That doesn’t mean we live in fear. It means we live awake. We appreciate more. We love harder. We stop wasting energy on things that don’t matter.

I keep thinking about this little exchange:

Charlie Brown: “One day, we will die.”
Snoopy: “Yes, but every other day, we will live.”

Maybe that’s the carnival of life.

Not pretending everything is supposed to always be smooth, happy, but continuing to dance through it all.

Because even in tragedy, something incredibly human emerges: compassion, generosity, humility and people reaching across borders simply because someone else is hurting.

So today, as I witness another beautiful view of this place we love, I stood there with a bursting heart, grateful for my family, grateful for everyone who checked on us, and deeply grateful for this fragile, crazy, beautiful gift called life. ❤️🙏

Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.

But today is here.

The plan is to live it!

One day at a time.

🎭 La vida es un carnaval.
And I intend to keep dancing while I can 💃🏽💜💚💛

AUGUST 2026 MOTTO:
🎭 LA VIDA ES UN CARNAVAL

That’s it. That’s the whole message this month. Say it (or sing it 😉) with me:
“la vida es un carnaval.”

Every single morning, you step into a carnaval called life. New day, new parade, and yes, it’s meant to be celebrated. But here’s where we get it twisted: we hear “carnaval” and think that means everything’s supposed to be smooth, fun, and easy. Music playing, sun shining, no rain on the route.

That’s not how carnaval works. And it’s not how life works either.

Carnaval has crowds that push, floats that break down mid-route, costumes that rip, weather that doesn’t cooperate. And somehow the parade still dances forward. That’s the part Celia Cruz was really singing about, not that life is always a party, but that you get to decide how you show up to it, rain or shine, wobble or not.

So here’s the practice! Be intentional about your attitude and where you put your energy when life gets hard, because that’s the only float you’re actually steering. Nobody controls the weather. Everybody controls whether they keep dancing in it.

Train your mind to look at the difficult moment and ask: “what’s the lesson in here?”, Sometimes you’ll find it fast. Sometimes you’ll have to dig…really dig. And sometimes, honestly, you won’t find anything good about it for years... until one day you realize you’re the person helping someone else through the exact thing that once wrecked you, and only because you lived it first. That’s not coincidence. That’s the payoff of turning your hardest seasons into a learning journey instead of just filing them away as loss.

“No hay que llorar”, not because you’re not allowed to feel it, but because the tears don’t get to be the whole story. “Todo pasa.” And “nunca estás solo”somebody in this crowd has been exactly where you are.

This month, the invitation it’s to practice a carnaval state of mind: show up, stay intentional, find the lesson, and keep dancing down the route, rain, floats, wobbles, and all.

Because life is not about waiting for the perfect parade.
It’s about dancing in the one you’re already in. 💜💚💛

JULY 2026 MOTTO:
STRENGTH = INDEPENDENCE 💪
(Final Chapter)

We’ve covered physical, mental, emotional strength. Last one: spiritual strength.

Ever notice how some people, in the hardest seasons, still manage to hold on? Still believe things will turn around? That’s not luck. That’s faith carrying them, and it’s a strength we can’t skip if we want the independent and fulfilling life we say we want.

Whether your connection shows up through faith, nature, gratitude, or quiet reflection, it grounds us, gives us purpose, makes everything else a little more possible.

I’m private about my beliefs, but I’ll share this: raised Catholic, I pray daily, and at some point I felt this stronger pull to actually strengthen the relationship on purpose, not just go through the motions. A friend once told me: “You’ve got to spend time learning and listening, same as you would with a dear friend, if you want it to grow.” That stuck with me.

Keeping it strong isn’t easy, we all have days doubt is louder than trust. It takes real, consistent effort. Which is exactly why it counts as strength.

A few ways to build the muscle:

🌈 Find your version of “church.” A special place, a hike, a journal, a quiet morning. There’s no one right door in.

🌈 Make it a daily rep, not a someday project. A few minutes of prayer, meditation or gratitude adds up, small and consistent beats occasional and intense.

🌈 Let go of needing to control the outcome. Whatever you call it, God, Universe, A Higher Power, there’s real relief in trusting it has your back!

Faith and fear can’t occupy the same space. Strengthen one, and you leave less room for the other.

Physical. Mental. Emotional. Spiritual. All four build the same thing, a person strong enough to stand on their own while enjoying the life they are standing in.

STRENGTH = INDEPENDENCE. 💪❤️

JULY 2026 MOTTO:
STRENGTH = INDEPENDENCE 💪

We’ve covered physical strength. Mental strength. Now the one we tend to neglect most: Emotional strength.

Emotional independence means managing your life and stress, even when things get hard. It’s building your sense of self from the inside out, not depending on others to make you happy or tell you who to be.

My dad used to say: “If you don’t enjoy your own company, why would you expect anyone else to?”

Becoming your own best friend sounds simple. It’s not. Here’s where it starts:

💛 Get clear on your priorities and values. If you don’t know what matters to you, everyone else will decide for you.

💛 Keep your promises to yourself. Show up for the small stuff. That’s how self-trust is built.

💛 Validate your feelings. Name them: sad, disappointed, anxious…instead of pushing them down. Naming it calms your nervous system. Judging it makes it stick.

💛 Sit with discomfort. Before you reach for your phone or anything else to distract yourself, pause. Feelings need attention and time to process, same as a physical injury. Running from them doesn’t make them go away. It just makes them stick around and get worse.

💛 Set the boundary, skip the guilt. You’re allowed to say no.

💛Choose solitude, not isolation. Isolation builds walls. Solitude recharges you and keeps the door open to others. Eat alone, walk alone, not to disappear, but to practice self-reliance and strengthen your ability to feel whole on your own.

💛 Know your triggers. Big reaction to something small? Ask if it’s really about right now, or an old wound getting poked.

This strength doesn’t show up in a mirror. It shows up in how steady you feel when nobody’s watching.

Physical. Mental. Emotional. All three build the same thing: a person who can stand on their own.

STRENGTH = INDEPENDENCE. 💪❤️
