Lucian Townsell 76, of Providence, KY passed away in Hanson, KY on Sunday May 24th, 2026. Lucian was a Truck Driver, having drove for Davis Trucking and also Tyson Foods. He was a member of the Star Hope General Baptist Church in Liberty, KY. Lucian worked on becoming ordained and achieved that goal and was very proud of that accomplishment. He was a US Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War, He served as Past Commander of the VFW Post #5484 in Providence, KY, and also served as Past Commander with the State VFW Organization. He was a member of the Dixon Masonic Lodge #911. Lucian loved helping people, enjoyed grilling and smoking meat, and also helped his wife operate Deb's Smoke Shop in Providence for several years. He was the son of the late James Marion and Lucy Stewart Townsell. He was preceded in death by a daughter Candy Lynn Townsell, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Survivors include his wife of 56 years Debbie George Townsell of Providence, KY; his sons Lucian Scott Townsell(Chelsea Smitson) of Robards, KY and James Michael Townsell of Providence, KY; a sister Velmer Garrett of Slaughters, KY; 3 brothers Paul Townsell of St. Charles, KY; Johnny Townsell and George Townsell both of Madisonville, KY; grandchildren Kaylene, McKenna, Jordan Layne, Jordan Scott, Kaylie and Courtney; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday June 1st, 2026 at 2pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Bro. Robert Lingerfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be from 11am until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Hopkins County Honor Guard will perform Military service at the graveside. Stephanie Lee Main 54, of Dixon, KY passed away on Thursday May 7th, 2026 in Henderson, KY. Stephanie worked at Audubon Metals in Henderson, KY. She was a member of the Dixon First Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. Stephanie loved going to Lake Barkley and camping with her family. She was an avid UK Football fan and loved to go watch and support the Wildcats. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father James Albert Oliver, a brother Pat Oliver, and her Father-in-Law Rick Main. She is survived by her husband of 34 years Scott Main of Dixon, KY; her daughter Ashley(Mario) Fuentes of Morganfield, KY; 2 sons Zach(Janelle) Main of Madisonville, KY and Jake(Kristen) Main of Dixon, KY; her mother Loretta May Oliver of Henderson, KY; a brother Brian(Jennifer) Oliver of Corbin, KY; mother-in-law Linda Main of Dixon, KY; brother-in-law David Main of Dixon, KY; 6 grandchildren Kaylee, Kenleigh, Addyson, Weston, Logan, and Emersyn; nieces and nephews, Emily Devers, Jessie Barrett, Kori Main, Taylor Harper and Josh Oliver. He enjoyed cooking and tasting foods from other cultures, golfing, video games and watching sports specifically UK games. He was a Christian, raised in Lakeview Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Melinda Guzik, and his grandfather Cleatis Rodgers. Sean is survived by his wife Amanda in Eddyville, KY; 2 daughters, 13 year old Aleah Melinda Guzik and 21 month old Addilyn Marie Guzik; 1 grandmother Geneva Rodgers of Dixon, KY; 1 sister-in-law Laura (Lee) Lilly of Manitou. Mike Fletcher 75, of Corydon, KY passed away on May 2nd, 2026. He was born on February 11th, 1951 in Henderson, KY. Mike is survived by his wife of 51 years Donna Powers Fletcher; his daughter Rachel(Ben) Garrison; his son Joe Fletcher; his son-in-law Kyle Hoemke; a sister Carol Jean Moseley; a brother Charles Allen Fletcher, Mike also had two granddaughters of whom he was very proud, Emma Grace and Ella Kate Garrison. Mike was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Ruth Fletcher, his sister Cathy Fletcher and his daughter Meredith Fletcher Hoemke. Mike was a member of the Poole Church of Christ throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats. Donna J. Jackson 79, of Dixon, KY passed away on Tuesday April 21st, 2026 at Redbanks Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree, KY. She was a member of the Dixon General Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. Donna cared and loved for children in the Dixon and surrounding communities for over 30 years. She enjoyed vacationing with her family in Gatlinburg, TN, the Smoky Mountains was one of her favorite places to visit. She also loved her granddaughters very much and always enjoyed sitting on her front porch. Donna was the daughter of the late James and Alleen Tomlingson Overby. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Jackson, and her brother Danny Overby. She is survived by her daughters Melea(Fahmi) Ramin of Dixon, KY and Danielle(Jason) Rickard of Slaughters, KY; her 2 granddaughters Ameera Ramin and Amelia Varnado; 2 sister in laws Sue Jackson of Providence, KY and Candy Overby of Henderson, KY. Dr. Curtis Carroll Yarbrough, 84, of Madisonville formerly of Webster and Muhlenberg Counties passed away at his home Saturday, April 11, 2026. He was the son of the late Reverend Carroll Wesley Yarbrough and Mary Leslie (Glore) Yarbrough, born January 14, 1942, in Providence Kentucky.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Pauletta (Mooney) Yarbrough, and their daughter, Dr. Rachel Yarbrough.Throughout his adult life, he shared his Christian faith through full-time ministry as a pastor and evangelist of several General Baptist churches in western Kentucky, southern Illinois, and Michigan. For 51 years, he was called to lead congregations at Hopkinsville GB Church (Hopkinsville), Concord GB Church (Manitou), New Testament (Flint, MI), Clay GB Church (Clay), Duvall’s Chapel GB (Greenville), Star/ Pleasant Valley GB Church (Eldorado, IL), Joines Chapel GB (Clifty), Interim at White Oak GB (Clay), and Little Zion GB (Dixon).Dr. Yarbrough served on the Oakland City University (IN) Board of Trustees for 40 years; served on the Webster County Board of Education for 6 years; served as the Moderator for the General Association of General Baptists; and served on the General Board for General Baptists. He was active in each ministerial association in the communities he served. Dr. Yarbrough and his family are advocates for the Webster County School District and the Webster County High School’s Future Farmers of America providing a land lab for agriculture students and awarding scholarships to local graduates. He is remembered as a man committed to God, his family, his friends and his community. He was predeceased by his mother and father, his brother Richard Yarbrough, and sisters Diana Ti**le and Jenny Rowe.In addition to his wife and daughter, he is survived by his sister Linda Ray Simpkins; brother-in-law Aubrey R. (Sally) Mooney; nephews: Marty (Pam) Rowe, Dean (Tina) Rowe, Chris (Amy) Rowe, Dawayne (Polly) Yarbrough, Matthew (Kristin) Mooney; nieces: Penny (Steve) Jarvis, Michelle Yarbrough, Missy (Mark) Calloway, Jenni (Larry) Shadowen, and Leslie (Brendan) Mooney; and 24 great nephews and nieces. A celebration of Dr. Curtis C. Yarbrough’s journey of life will be Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church near Slaughters Kentucky. Martha Jean Franey, 84, of Dixon, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Brickyard Healthcare-Brentwood in Evansville. She was born July 29, 1941 in Henderson, Kentucky to the late Annalee (Collier) and Albert “Pap” Majors.Martha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed reading her Bible, listening to gospel music and gospel preaching. Martha also enjoyed sewing, quilting, planting flowers and loving on her fur babies. She is survived by her husband, Donald Franey, Sr.; children, Donald “Sonny” Franey, Jr. and Deborah Hustace; grandchildren, Amanda Oates, Whitney Franey, Brandi Walters and Isaac Franey; great-grandchildren, Brennan Truitt, Samuel Truitt, Bryleigh Truitt, Owen Dant, Caleb Dant, Grace Dant, Keegan Walters and Declan Walters; and sister, Phyllis Tow. Debbie K. Stone 67, of Providence, KY passed away at her home on Tuesday March 3rd, 2026. Debbie had worked at Palmer Place in Housekeeping and loved all the residents that she helped take care of. She was an avid UK Fan, and loved going and watching Nascar. Debbie loved her family and friends and enjoyed working in her flower gardens. She also enjoyed spending time on vacation in the Smoky Mountains. She had a deep faith and loved her God. She was the daughter of the late Emery Joe Floyd and Beulah June Croxton Floyd. She was preceded in death by a sister Patty Floyd and a brother Ricky Floyd.
