Today our Men’s Center team begins their journey to Honduras, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what God is going to do!

Please join us in praying for safe travels, open hearts, and divine appointments as they serve, love, and share the hope of Jesus. We know this trip is about so much more than miles traveled—it’s about lives being transformed, both for those they meet and for the men serving.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed, supported, and encouraged this mission. We can’t wait to share the stories of what God does in Honduras.

Greetings, everyone!

I want to personally invite you to our 2026 Rewritten Gala, taking place on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Ballard Convention Center in Madisonville, Kentucky.

This promises to be an unforgettable evening filled with chef-inspired cuisine, fellowship, and powerful stories of hope and transformation. You'll hear life-changing testimonies from men and women whose lives have been completely rewritten through the work of our savior, Jesus Christ at the Dixon Teen Challenge Men's and Women's Centers.

Every day we witness incredible miracles. Men are being restored as responsible fathers and sons. Women are becoming loving mothers and daughters. Most importantly, lives are being transformed as people discover the hope, freedom, and purpose found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. These are not just stories of recovery—they are stories of redemption.

We are also honored to welcome Brad Long, Deputy City Administrator of Madisonville, as our featured speaker. His words of encouragement and inspiration are sure to uplift everyone in attendance and leave you challenged, encouraged, and inspired.

Well, it is that time of year again. It is time for the Western Kentucky Teen Challenge Rewritten Gala being held at the Ballard Convention Center on October 2, 2026 at 6 PM. We have a great lineup planned, including our Keynote Speaker, Deputy City Adminstrator for the City of Madisonville, Brad Long. There will be wonderful chef inspired creations, heartwarming testimonies, and stories of redemption and transformation through the power of Jesus Christ. Come on out and join the festivities. I am grateful to share that it was a very successful Freedom Match Month, and that success is because of each and every one of our Teen Challenge Partners in Hope. Your generosity, prayers, encouragement, and belief in our mission are making a lasting difference in the lives of men and women seeking freedom from addiction.

Without people like you supporting this ministry, Teen Challenge might not have been here when I desperately needed a place that would help save my life. Today, I have the privilege of watching God do that same miracle in the lives of others every single day.

Our Men’s Center ELP students had a powerful lesson today on the biblical importance of correction. Just as oil was poured over the head to anoint and set someone apart, God’s correction is poured into our lives to shape us, refine us, and prepare us for His purpose.

“Let the righteous strike me—it is a kindness; let him rebuke me—it is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it.” — Psalm 141:5

Correction isn’t rejection—it’s love in action. It produces growth, wisdom, and Christlike character when we receive it with a humble heart. We are thankful for the opportunity to watch these men embrace God’s Word and allow Him to continue the work He has started in their lives.

July's Family Day and Graduation Service was nothing short of amazing! 🙌

We came together to celebrate all God has done in Todd's life, honored our Phase 1 Completions, and celebrated 30 Day certificates. This month was another evidence of God's faithfulness to His people and His ability to use obedience to bring freedom.

Typical Sunday afternoon at Teen Challenge. ❤️🏀🎢

One of my favorite things to see is our guys rediscovering the simple joys of life. Whether it's a game of basketball, fellowshiping over a movie, going to a baseball game, playing a board game, or just spending time together laughing and enjoying each other's company, these are the moments that remind us of the life God intended for us to live.

🏀🎢There was a time in my own life when I couldn't imagine a day without playing basketball after work, spending weekends fishing or golfing, or taking trips to an amusement park to ride the biggest, craziest roller coasters I could find. Then addiction entered my life. 🎢🏌️🏟️

Little by little, addiction stole everything from me. It robbed me of my joy, my relationships, my purpose, and eventually isolated me from the very activities that once made me feel alive.

Jesus describes it perfectly in John 10:10:

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

For me, the thief was addiction. But Jesus had a different plan.

Today, because of Jesus Christ, I once again have life—and I have it to the full.
That is exactly what Teen Challenge is all about. We help men reconnect with their Heavenly Father, build an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, and rediscover the simple pleasures that addiction once stole from them. We watch men find hope where there was despair, purpose where there was emptiness, and joy where there was only pain.

I know this because I am one of them.

I am a product of this program. I have been redeemed, restored, and given a new life through the grace of God. Every single day, I remember who deserves the credit for the man I am today.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kenneth Root, Head Coach Stephen McNett, the Madisonville Miners baseball team, and the official team mascot, Loki, for inviting the men of Teen Challenge to your playoff game Saturday night.

While the outcome of the game wasn't what we were all hoping for, the evening was a tremendous blessing. It reminded us of all the simple joys and experiences we once enjoyed before addiction took hold of our lives. Addiction has a way of stealing not only our health and relationships but also our ability to simply enjoy life.

Saturday night was a powerful reminder that recovery isn't just about staying sober—it's about rediscovering life. As we keep our eyes fixed on our sobriety and, most importantly, on the Kingdom of God, we also learn that it's okay to laugh, cheer, spend time together, and create new memories. Those moments are an important part of the healing process.

Thank you again to the Madisonville Miners organization for your generosity, hospitality, and for making us feel like part of your baseball family this season. We truly appreciate your support and kindness.

We'll be cheering you on again next year. See you then! ⚾️❤️
