Today, the hallways at Fairview Care Center are a little extra sweet as we celebrate National Ice Cream Day! Nothing beats the summer heat quite like a cold, refreshing scoop of our favorite flavors, and our residents are absolute experts at enjoying this classic treat.

From timeless vanilla and rich chocolate to fun toppings and colorful sprinkles, today is all about savoring the simple joys and sharing smiles. It has been wonderful listening to our residents reminisce about their favorite childhood ice cream trucks and old-school parlor visits.

DODGE COUNTY, MN (July 16, 2026) – Fairview Care Center successfully maintained normal operations and ensured complete resident comfort during the widespread power outage affecting Dodge County today.

When the local power grid failed, Fairview Care Center’s emergency backup generator activated immediately. The secondary power source kept the facility’s air conditioning running continuously, keeping all residents cool, safe, and content during the outage.

All health services, medical care, and daily activities continue to be provided on schedule without interruption. The facility remains fully operational, and staff members are closely monitoring equipment to ensure a seamless transition when municipal power is restored.

Our top priority is always the safety, health, and comfort of our residents. Thanks to our proactive emergency preparedness and reliable backup infrastructure, our team did not miss a beat, and our residents remained safe and comfortable in a fully climate-controlled environment.
