Southeast Health Foundation The Southeast Health Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) public, not-for-profit public charity, founded in May 2006.

As part of Southeast Health’s humanitarian role, annual operating expenses are underwritten by the Medical Center so that 100 percent of gifts received will benefit the healthcare service or community wellness initiative specified. In addition to individual and corporate gifts, the Foundation also conducts several special events annually. Net proceeds from these activities are directed as indicate

d in specific event literature. The Southeast Health Foundation is a nonprofit, public charity. As such, the Foundation operates within the rules and regulations established by the United States government, specifically abiding the laws that allow for the operation of public charities. The Foundation must provide proof that funds contributed are used for the purposes for which they were intended. In addition to filing documents with the Internal Revenue Service as required, donors and the public receive regular updates regarding the status of the projects and how their donations are being used.

🚨 Day 5️⃣ and that’s a wrap on National CPR & AED Awareness Week in Houston County! 🚨

The City of Ashford, Alabama showed up in a big way, with local superheroes taking time out of their schedules to learn CPR, AED use, Narcan administration, Stop the Bleed, and how to help save a life before EMS arrives. Every person trained brings us one step closer to our goal of making Houston County HeartSafe. ❤️

A huge thank you to Following Seas Brewpub for opening its doors and providing such a unique and welcoming space for training, to the Southeast Alabama EMS Council for equipping our heroes with lifesaving skills, to Ben E. Keith Foods for keeping everyone fueled, and to Brightspeed for powering this initiative across Houston County.

Thumper was thrilled to wrap up the week at such a cool spot. Even though he was running on fumes after five days of training events, he still managed to lend a paw behind the bar. 🐾🍻

Rehobeth holds a special place in Thumper's HEART because three of the very first Houston County HeartSafe Designations were right here!

Our final stop for National CPR & AED Awareness week, join us tomorrow, June 5, at Following Seas Brewpub with training sessions at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Participants will receive a HeartSafe T-shirt, snacks sponsored by Ben E. Keith Foods and a complimentary pint from Following Seas Brewpub upon completing the training. All participants who complete the training will also be entered to win a $100 Visa gift card.

💚💙It was extra special to be in the City of Kinsey, Alabama on day 3! They received Houston County’s first HeartSafe designation with the EXPANDED curriculum on May 11, 2025. One year later, we were back training more lifesavers, and Thumper was excited to visit where it all began!

Thank you to the Kinsey Town Hall Senior Center for hosting us, Chick-fil-A East Dothan and Ben E. Keith Foods for feeding our new heroes, Brightspeed for powering the HeartSafe initiative, and the Southeast Alabama EMS Council for providing CPR, AED, Narcan, and Stop the Bleed training.

Every available spot was filled with a neighbor who wants to be prepared to step in and respond in the case of an emergency!
