🩵PTSD Awareness Month 🩵

June is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Month, a time to increase understanding, reduce stigma, and remind those who are struggling that support is available.

PTSD can affect anyone who has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. While the effects may not always be visible, healing is possible with the right treatment and support.

This month, we honor the strength of those living with PTSD and encourage open conversations about mental health. If you or someone you love is struggling, reaching out for help is a courageous first step.

✨ You are not alone.
✨ Recovery is possible.
✨ Help is available.

This Memorial Day, Dothan Behavioral Medicine Clinic pauses to honor and remember the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Their strength, selflessness, and dedication remind us of the true meaning of this day.

As we gather with family and friends, may we take a moment to reflect with gratitude and remember those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy today.

From all of us at Dothan Behavioral Medicine Clinic — thank you to our fallen heroes and to the families who carry their legacy forward.

❤️🤍💙 Remember. Honor. Never Forget.

The ALTO Study Is Now Enrolling Adults with Depression

We are looking for adults between the ages of 19 and 75, currently taking 1 to 2 antidepressants, to take part in a clinical study. The ALTO Study is helping researchers learn more about an investigational treatment for Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD). TRD is a form of depression that does not improve, or only improves a little bit, after trying at least 2 different antidepressant medications, as prescribed by your doctor. Qualified participants may receive payment for their study-related time and travel. To learn more, visit https://hrxinfo.com/major-depression-with-digital-therapeutic-for-adults or contact our study site at hrxinfo.com or 334-836-2000.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month đź’š

Mental health is just as important as physical health—yet so many people continue to struggle in silence. This month is a reminder to check in with yourself and with those around you.

It’s okay to not have everything figured out. It’s okay to ask for help. And it’s okay to take time to rest, reset, and heal.

Let’s continue breaking the stigma by having open conversations, showing compassion, and supporting one another. Whether it’s reaching out to a friend, prioritizing self-care, or seeking professional support—every step matters.

You are not alone. đź’š
