We are excited to announce that CRH Ear, Nose, and Throat Group will officially open Monday, June 1!

📍312 Westside Drive, Douglas, Ga

Our team will be scheduling patients of all ages for all ear, nose, and throat concerns. Providers include Ashley Schemel, MD, Annsley Coffee, PA-C, and Alexis McNeill, PA-C.

We are also happy to welcome previous patients back for continued care. Please note: All patients, including those from the previous ENT practice, will need to reestablish care with CRH Ear, Nose, and Throat Group before being seen.

🥩 Thursday Steak Day Reminder 🥩

We are so thankful for the continued support of the CRMC Cafeteria and are proud to offer our Thursday Steak Day to both our employees and community guests!

To help reduce wait times and ensure our employees have adequate time during their lunch breaks to order and enjoy their meals, we kindly ask that guests limit steak plate orders to a maximum of two plates per person.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our cafeteria service running smoothly for everyone.

Dr. Cheema chose Coffee Regional Medical Center because of the genuine warmth and support she felt from day one—something that made joining a close-knit, growing program feel like the perfect fit for her and her family 💙

🌟 Resident Spotlight: Zubair Akram, MD 🌟

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Zubair Akram to Coffee Regional Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Residency Program this summer!

A Georgia native from Waycross, Dr. Akram attended Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon and was drawn to CRMC for our strong facility, focus on rural medicine, and small class size that fosters close collaboration and learning. He’s especially excited to begin this next chapter by making a meaningful difference in the lives of his patients.

Dr. Akram plans to pursue a career in general internal medicine with an emphasis on preventive care, helping patients stay healthy and proactive about their well-being.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys reading, writing, and playing table tennis. He speaks an impressive three languages - you'll have to meet him in person and find out what those languages are! A fan of lasagna, coffee, and coastal views, he proudly claims he’s a morning person. He also shares that his parents have sacrificed greatly to support his journey, and he’s grateful to have them close by during this exciting time.
