Welcome Baby Boy

Just came on here to celebrate a beautiful family who welcomed their baby boy last night! 💜

I had the opportunity to share in some of those precious first moments, and watching Dad bond skin-to-skin with his first son was such a beautiful reminder that bonding begins from the very start.

It was a beautiful reminder of why I love this work and why support shouldn't end once the baby arrives.

Welcome, sweet baby boy, to the family. 💜

What a great day for Circle of Care Doula!

Today, in partnership with Cobb & Douglas Public Health and Children’s First, we had the opportunity to connect with more than 100 families while showing parents how simple, everyday play can support their child’s early development.

Through our Number Play, Stack & Explore, and Shape & Peg Play activities, children ages 0–5 explored age-appropriate skills such as grasping, stacking, sorting, matching, identifying colors and shapes, counting, fine-motor development, and problem-solving.

But the fun had a bigger purpose.

Doula support doesn’t end at birth. As part of our postpartum support, Circle of Care helps parents navigate life after baby with practical education and support, including infant care, parent education, early development, age-appropriate play, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding support, and connections to community resources.

Supporting early milestones doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes learning starts witDoulah stacking a cup, matching a shape, counting together, or simply getting on the floor and playing with your child.

Thank you to every family who stopped by to play, learn, ask questions, and connect with us today!

A Heartbreaking Reminder: Always Check the Back Seat

Our hearts are with the family who recently lost their precious child after he was unintentionally left in a vehicle.

Tragedies like this remind us that exhaustion, stress, changes in routine, and the demands of parenting can affect anyone.

Instead of judgment, let's focus on prevention:
• Always check the back seat before locking your car.
• Keep your purse, work badge, or phone beside your child's car seat.
• Ask your daycare to call if your child doesn't arrive as expected.
• Consider using technology or reminder devices designed to help prevent these tragedies.

It truly takes a village to keep children safe. One reminder, one phone call, or one new habit could save a child's life.

Today, we're praying for this family and for every parent carrying the weight of caring for their children.

Why I Became a Doula

I became a doula because I believe no woman should have to walk through pregnancy, birth, or postpartum alone.

Through my work serving pregnant and parenting young mothers facing homelessness and crisis, I have seen firsthand how vulnerable this season of life can be. Many of the young women I support are navigating trauma, instability, fear, and uncertainty while also preparing to bring a new life into the world.

What I realized very quickly was that many of them were missing something incredibly important: someone in their corner.

Someone who could advocate for them.
Someone who could help them understand their bodies and their options.

Someone who could provide comfort, reassurance, and guidance during one of the most life-changing moments they will ever experience.

Becoming a doula felt like a natural extension of the work I was already called to do.

As the founder of Blessings Working Together, my mission has always been to protect the future of two generations at once; mother and child. Doula care allows me to support mothers not only emotionally, but physically, spiritually, and educationally during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

I became a doula because birth is not just a medical event; it is a deeply human experience that deserves compassion, dignity, and informed support.

I want every mother I serve to feel:
• Seen
• Heard
• Respected
• Empowered

Whether a mother is experiencing her first pregnancy, navigating postpartum recovery, healing from past trauma, or simply needing reassurance that she is capable and strong; my role is to walk alongside her with care and advocacy.

For me, being a doula is more than a profession.
It is a calling to nurture, protect, and uplift mothers during one of the most sacred transitions of their lives.
Because when a mother is supported, a family is strengthened and a generation is changed.
