August arrives with an invitation, not a demand. 🌿✨

A chance to return to yourself.
To create instead of consume.
To speak your truth with confidence.
To clear away what no longer serves you.
To choose yourself—again and again.

Funny how we therapists are always reminding everyone else to take care of themselves… and sometimes we need the reminder too.

You can’t pour from an empty cup.

Today I’m practicing what I preach. Breakfast with a friend, one client this afternoon, a massage for me (yes, massage therapists need massages too! 😉), and then home to catch up on all the things that make a house feel like home.

A full cup doesn’t have to mean a vacation or a spa weekend. Sometimes it’s good conversation, receiving the care you give so freely, and a quiet afternoon at home.

Can I ask you something?

When was the last time you took an hour just for yourself?

Not to run errands.
Not to catch up on laundry.
Not because someone else needed you.

Just…for you.

I hear it all the time:
“I’ll book after vacation.”
“When work settles down.”
“Once the kids go back to school.”

But our bodies don’t usually wait for the perfect time. They whisper first… tight shoulders, tension headaches, aching hips, restless sleep. If we keep ignoring the whispers, they eventually start shouting.

Consider this your reminder that rest isn’t something you earn—it’s something your body needs.

Take the nap.
Drink the water.
Stretch for five minutes.
Step outside barefoot.
Read a chapter.
Say no without guilt.
Book the massage.
Give yourself permission to simply be.

The week ahead will ask a lot of you. Meet it from a place of peace instead of depletion.

There was a time when I believed there wasn’t enough. Not enough clients. Not enough opportunities. Not enough room.

But healing has taught me something different.

When we choose abundance over scarcity, we stop seeing other people as competition and start seeing them as companions on the journey. Someone else’s success doesn’t take anything away from what’s meant for you.

There is room for many gifted hands.
There are people who need your unique gifts.
There is more than enough for all of us to eat.

Today, I choose collaboration over comparison.
Abundance over scarcity.
Trust over fear.

One of the simplest ways to care for your fascia?

🌿 Move every day.
🚶‍♀️ Walk.
🧘 Stretch.
💧 Stay hydrated.
🌀 Use a foam roller or massage ball if it feels good.

Small, consistent habits make a bigger difference than occasional intense workouts.
