A little reminder that two things can be true at once.🤍

You can love your career and love being a mom. Work hard and know when to rest. Do things for yourself while still prioritizing the people you love.

Let’s let go of guilt. Unsubscribe from expectations (sometimes even from ourselves) and allow every part of ourselves to exist.

I hope my kids grow up remembering that their mom had dreams too.

Not because I chose business over them.

But because I refused to believe motherhood meant I had to stop wanting things for myself.

They’ve watched me start over.
Take risks.
Build businesses.
Change directions.
Get it wrong.
Figure it out.
And keep going.

And maybe one day they’ll understand that I wasn’t just building for me.

I was showing them what it looks like to believe your life can hold motherhood AND ambition.

You can adore the life you have and still want to build something that belongs to you.

You can be deeply grateful and still want more.

And you can build it in the pockets of time available in the life you’re already living.

That’s a huge part of why I became a Doctor.

Because our kids aren’t only listening to what we tell them is possible.

They’re watching what we believe is possible for ourselves.

Please, do yourself a favor and get your eyes checked!👀 Weight loss can take a significant toll on your vision.

A fundus camera takes highly detailed, colored photographs of the inside, back surface of your eye (the fundus). This allows us to directly examine and document the retina, optic nerve, macula, and blood vessels.

And NO, there is no puff of air🤣
