One of the biggest mistakes I see?
People stop exercising the moment something hurts.
I understand why.
Most people aren't sure if the pain means:
β "I'm injured"
β "I should push through"
β "I need to stop completely"
This uncertainty causes many adults to lose strength, fitness, and confidence.
Try using the Traffic Light System:
π’ Green Light: Pain improves or settles quickly
π‘ Yellow Light: Mild soreness that resolves within 24 hours
π΄ Red Light: Symptoms worsen and stay worse
Pain is not always a stop sign. Often it's a signal that you need to adjust, not quit.
If you've been avoiding exercise because of pain, there may be a better solution than simply doing less.
