Camping night at Oak Trace was a hit 🏕️✨
We turned the courtyard into a campground with s’mores, camp songs with Rick Pickren, yard games, and families camping under the stars (and a few “indoor campers” too 😄).

Grilled cheese, corn dogs, and a cozy breakfast kept everyone fueled, and the whole night was just pure fun from start to finish.

In our community, there is always something fun to do!

Memorial Day at Oak Trace was one to remember 🇺🇸❤️

We showed up in full red, white, and blue and it felt so good celebrating together as a community. There was a real sense of pride, connection, and gratitude all around campus.
It’s moments like these that remind me how special life here is, always bringing people together in the best way.

We celebrated Nursing Home Week with lots of laughs, smiles, and plenty of special moments together! With colorful decorations and fun games, to exciting events and plenty of laughter, the celebration was enjoyed by all.
We love finding reasons to celebrate and create meaningful moments that bring residents, team members, and friends together, because life at Oak Trace is always in bloom. 💐💙

We are so proud to celebrate Oak Trace resident Dave Humphreys on his retirement after 32 years of dedicated service as a Library Trustee!
Our residents continue to inspire us through their leadership, service, and the incredible impact they make in their communities.

A Lasting Legacy: Dave Humphreys Retires from Board

After 32 years, Dave Humphreys’ final term as a Library Trustee has come to an end. Humphreys has been an integral part of the library’s Board for three decades, and served as the Secretary from 2016 through 2024. Humphreys’ tenure on the Board is marked by his positivity and genuine, unwavering love for the library and the community as a whole. Humphreys’ impact on the library is long-lasting and profound. The staff are grateful for all of the time and dedication Humphreys put into leading the library, and wish him well in his next chapter! Thank you, Dave!

The library will host a reception to celebrate his years of service at the May 27 Board Meeting at the Betty Cheever Council Chambers at the Downers Grove Civic Center.
