In honor of National Cowboy Day, residents at Mercer Hill had a rootin’ tootin’ good time making cowboy caviar! 🤠

Everyone pitched in to prepare this colorful and delicious favorite before filling their own mason jars to take with them and enjoy later. Several residents even arrived dressed in their best cowboy attire, adding plenty of Western spirit to the celebration.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with laughter, great conversation and a little taste of the Wild West!

Residents recently put their taste buds to the test during an exotic fruit tasting prepared by Chef Michele with help from Culinary Associate Suzanne! 🥭

The group sampled rambutan, Santa Claus melon, Picasso melon and Thai guava while learning where each fruit grows and what makes it unique.

Mercer Hill’s Signature Series Seafood Fest was a delicious success! 🦞🌴

With summer temperatures climbing, we brought the celebration indoors and transformed our main dining room into a lively seafood restaurant with all the charm of a day at the beach.

Residents enjoyed a wonderful selection of fresh seafood specialties prepared by our culinary team, while live steel drum music set the tone for the afternoon.

It was a fun taste of the shore right here at Mercer Hill!

Chef Jeremy is serving up swordfish tips with plenty of fresh flavor! 🐟🌿

In the latest episode of our Healthy Meals, Happy Minds chef series, Chef Seth Gooby visits The Residence at Orchard Grove, where Senior Restaurant Director, Chef Jeremy, prepares swordfish with olive oil, garlic, lemon juice and fresh basil picked from the residents’ garden.

Paired with basmati rice, a vegetable medley and garden salad, the finished dish brings Mediterranean-inspired flavor to the table while offering nutritional benefits like omega-3s that support heart health.

The residents of Mercer Hill enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the Bucks County Playhouse, where they attended the beloved Rogers and Hammerstein musical “South Pacific.” The performance was fabulous - from outstanding talent and beautiful costumes to unforgettable music! Many of our residents fondly remembered the classic songs and couldn't help but sing along! It was a joyful outing filled with music, laughter, cherished, memories, and plenty of smiles. Experiences like these continue to bring the arts to life while creating meaningful moments for our Mercer Hill community. 🎭🎶
