Cyclosporiasis cases are on the rise this summer.
Cyclosporiasis is an intestinal illness caused by the microscopic parasite Cyclospora. It is often associated with contaminated fresh produce or water and can cause prolonged diarrhea, nausea, stomach cramps, and fatigue. One of the biggest concerns is dehydration, as ongoing fluid and electrolyte losses can leave you feeling weak and depleted.
If you’ve experienced dehydration due to a stomach illness, Hydrate2O’s X-Hydrate IV could help replenish fluids, electrolytes, and essential nutrients. While IV hydration does not treat the underlying infection, it may help support hydration and recovery from dehydration.
When you visit Hydrate2O, one of our experienced nurses will discuss your symptoms and overall wellness to help determine whether IV hydration is appropriate and recommend the infusion that best supports your hydration needs.
Our X-Hydrate infusion includes:
• IV fluids
• Electrolytes
• B Vitamins
• Potassium
• Sodium
• Zinc
If you are experiencing severe or persistent symptoms, or believe you may have cyclosporiasis, seek evaluation from your healthcare provider.
Walk-ins are always welcome at our Newtown and Doylestown locations.
