As an Integrative and Functional Medicine Physician, I have all kinds of “woo” life hacks that really work. I’m willing to experiment if it is low risk. Monday I poured boiling corn water over my finger when I was wearing my Oura ring. And I’m not talking a splash, I’m taking poured. Ouch and a few expletives came out of my mouth!!! I immediately grabbed my lavender oil and started applying. Not once, but every few seconds as the burning feeling came back and spaced out through the evening as it started to feel better. No blistering! This for sure would have blistered. The next day I was able to treat patients osteopathically putting my hand under their bodies for treatment with minimal discomfort. By Tuesday morning it looked like a bad tan mark. I don’t understand how Lavender oil can do this, but its magical powers haven’t failed me in the kitchen with burns. I keep a bottle in the kitchen for this reason. Follow us for more woo woo life hacks that work :)

Ten years of roots. 🌿

Today we sat down with the people who make this practice what it is — and started asking what it could become.

Physicians. Physical therapy. Personal training. Health coaching. Massage. All in one room. All pointing in the same direction.

We’re building something that doesn’t exist yet in Bucks County — a purpose-built integrative health space where your whole health is held, not fragmented. Where the people caring for you actually talk to each other.

This is the beginning of that.

🌱 Plant it. Nurture it. Watch it grow.

3 weeks of pushing my brain to find my max 🧠

10.3 is the fastest I hit. But my form fell apart. 10.2 is my max. Currently…

Why is that 0.1 important?

Because it’s the difference between moving forward with all the information and stopping too soon. One of the things doing Peloton runs has taught me is: we run our sprints too slow and our easy too fast. Finding your pace that is appropriate for the moment is key to moving well. But….

It’s also key to living well.

Cheers to midlife greatness and moving targets forward, personally and professionally.

Wait until you see what we have cooking at BCIM;)

Also, what do you think my next max sprint target should be and why? (Because you know now I’m going to create a plan to beat it 😂)

Things I learn by sprinting
I’m still finding my max ✅
-3 weeks in changing my workout routine from intervals to true SIT runs once a week I keep asking, why not a little faster? The worst that happens is I jump
-9.1 speed, 30 second sprints: that’s insane for these little legs (but 🤫, I think I can still go faster)

The 1.0 hill on sprints is not punishment. 🏔️
-It actually helps to activate the posterior chain and helps you run faster

My mind is the limiting factor right now. 🧠
-Just because I “wasn’t an athlete” when I was young doesn’t mean I’m not now. Keep pushing

This translates into life. 🌳
-Ask my staff. I now warn them the days I sprint because I come into the office with that energy.

This is my peace. 🧘
-as a busy mama, physician, business owner, friend, sister, colleague I have to take time for me. This is my hour every day that no one is asking anything of me. This is me asking something of me and it is my fuel.

🌟The Invisible Burden of Stress: How to Take Back Control of Your Calm 🌟

If you’ve been feeling constantly tired, on edge, or unable to fully relax—you’re not alone.

🔹Stress is a natural response to demands or challenges. Stress today doesn’t always look dramatic. It’s often subtle, constant, running quietly in the background.

April is Stress Awareness Month—a reminder of how deeply stress can impact both mind and body.

🔹When stress becomes chronic, the body stays in “fight or flight.” This isn’t just a feeling—it’s physiology. Over time, it can affect sleep, mood, energy, digestion, focus, blood pressure, and may accelerate cellular aging.

🔹Stress isn’t just in your mind—it’s in your nervous system.
And the key isn’t just “thinking differently” or “staying positive”.
It’s helping the body shift out of this stress response.

Take small steps towards a calmer mind💕...a calmer 'YOU'😊
