Today's the day! Join us for an International Overdose Awareness Day Observance event alongside City of Lowell, MA - Government.

We'll be meeting at 10am at Lowell City Hall to honor and remember those we have lost to overdose, raise awareness about the impact of overdose, and support those who are currently struggling. The John E Cox Memorial Bridge will also be lit purple today.

Stop by City Hall throughout the month of September to see the flag display marking the observance of Recovery Month and remembering those lost. Each flag represents an individual life lost to overdose, while the color purple symbolizes healing, recovery, resilience, and support for individuals and families affected by substance use.

Sending love to all who have been impacted by overdose and substance use, and we hope to see you today at City Hall. 💜

On September 17th, we’re turning Lowell Rocks for Recovery into a historic night. This is where the $10,000 Stronger Together raffle winner will be crowned live.

We are honored to share we have received a grant from the Greater Lowell Community Foundation for our "Rooted in Recovery" Project!

We have received a grant through Greater Lowell Community Foundation's Women Working Wonders Fund 2026 grant cycle. These funds will support the Megan House Foundation in its mission of providing holistic, longer term residential treatment and transitional housing for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

"Rooted in Recovery" aims to beautify the environments of the three homes where residents live, provide a free and accessible coping skill, and alleviate symptoms of mental health and substance use disorders.

In alignment with the Women Working Wonders Fund's goal of supporting environmental beautification projects that benefit women and girls, the spaces will include gardening areas for planting flowers, herbs, and vegetables, as well as comfortable areas for relaxation, reflection, peer connection, and healthy recreation.

Residents will work together to plan, designs, and maintain the spaces. Through their participation, women will contribute to the beautification of their community while developing a sense of pride, ownership, responsibility, and connection to their environment. The project will transform existing outdoor areas into functional, welcoming, useable, beautiful spaces.

Angela Copeman, the program director of Megan's House, says "This grant will allow us to create a space where recovery, wellness, and connection can grow together. Through 'Rooted in Recovery,' our residents will have meaningful opportunities to spend time outdoors, build new skills, and experience the sense of purpose and accomplishment that comes from caring for something and watching it grow."
