Mary Josephine “Mary Jo” Gomes, age 87 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born on October 24, 1938 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Miller E. and Josephine L. (Vail) Hopkins.

On November 15, 1959 she married Anthony A. Gomes. He preceded her in death on August 12, 2024.

Mary Jo had worked at Head Start in both DuBois, PA and Toledo, OH as a teacher and social service worker.

Mary Jo was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Down To Earth Garden Club. She, along with her husband Tony, was very talented in the arts. Mary Jo and Tony would spend countless hours together creating and talking about what they loved the most, art and their grandson Ryan. They took immense pride in being associated with the Winkler Gallery and Art Education Center.

Mary Jo is survived by her children, Kevin and John Gomes, both of Highpoint , NC; one grandson, Ryan Anthony Gomes of North Carolins; two brothers; William M. Hopkins of San Diego, CA and Edward M. Hopkins of Tarpon Springs, FL, and one sister, Cindy Knobloch and her husband Michael of DuBois, PA.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 11 a.m. from Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor David Holtz officiating.

Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Winkler Gallery, 36 North Brady St., and/or Christ Lutheran Church, 875 Sunflower Dr., both in DuBois, PA 15801.

Robert Henry Bullers, Sr., age 92 of DuBois, PA died on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born on December 10, 1933 in Hazen, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Marion (Donaldson) Bullers, Sr.

Bob was a 1952 graduate of New Kensington High School.

On Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1954, he married his wife of 71 years, Molly Ann Bullers at the Hazen Methodist Church in Hazen, PA. She survives.

Bob served in the United States Army in Okinawa during the Korean Conflict. He entertained family with slides taken during his time of service.

After returning from the Army, Bob and Molly moved to Ridgway, PA. Bob was employed by National Fuel Gas at various locations, and in various positions over his 38-year career, culminating as a Senior Foreman.

He was a 50-year member of the Kane Masonic Lodge, and the Coudersport Consistory of the Shriners.
While residing in Ridgway, Bob served the community as a fireman, and coached Little League Baseball for many years.

After retiring, Bob and Molly moved to Treasure Lake where he enjoyed golfing almost every day, and serving his community as a member of the Treasure Lake Lion’s Club.

Along with his wife, Bob is survived by his three children; Brenda Lynn Paladino (Jim), Patti Lou Buhler, and Robert H. Bullers, Jr. (Susan), seven grandchildren; Andrew Paladino (Tiffany), Jamie Paladino Bower (Zane), Matthew Buhler (Melissa), J. Bradley Bullers (Casie), Shaina Buhler Ricker (Jeff), Christina Bullers Wesson (Stephen), and Derek Bullers, fourteen great grandchildren; Olivia, Camilla, and Vincent Paladino, Landyn, Ayla, Emma, Conrad and Pete Buhler, Gavin, and Zoey Bullers, John R. Marsh, Connor and Collin Bower, and Paige Ricker.

He was preceded in death by one grandson (Derek Bullers), one son-in-law (Pete Buhler), and his siblings; Joseph W. Bullers, Jr., Don Bullers, and Barbara Lindemuth.

Bob will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 from 1 - 4 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026 at 11 AM from DuBois Lakeside Church with Pastor Brett Dinger officiating.

Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the church.

Burial will be in Butler Cemetery.

James J. Boron, age 86 of West Decatur, PA died Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Nelson’s Golden Years.

Burial will be in The Orthodox Monastery of Saint Tikhon of Zadonsk in South Canaan, PA.

Rona C. (Ivoska) Crytser, age 80 of DuBois PA passed away on Wednesday June 3, 2026 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born May 31, 1946 in DuBois PA to the late Vincent Ivoska and Phyllis (Reams) Ivoska.

On April 20, 1963, she married Ted Crytser at St. Joseph Church in DuBois, and they enjoyed 63 years together.

Over the years Rona enjoyed taking dance classes, singing and doing karate.
She also enjoyed going on cruises and vacations with Ted. She was very proud of her Lithuanian heritage and was an organ donor.

Besides her husband Ted, she is survived by 2 sons, Steven L (Cathy) Crytser of Moon Township, PA and Daniel J (Cindy) Crytser of DuBois, PA. She also survived by 7 grandchildren Brandon (Alyssa) Crytser of Sykesville PA, Gabriele Crytser of Moon Township, PA, Samantha Crytser of Burdette, NY, Andraya (Nick) Vardis of National Heights, PA, Heather Crytser of Punxsutawney, Pa., Tiffany Siple (Zack Martin) of TX, Tara Siple of Sykesville, PA and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers Fred (Judy) Ivoska of Zanesville OH and Walter (Janet) Ivoska of Clarion, PA, brother-in-law Paul (Donna) Crytser of Penfield, PA, sister in laws Linda (Harry) Yale and Debbie Spuck both of Sabula, PA. and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law Paul and Irene Crytser and brother-in-laws Kenny Crytser and Pete Spuck.

There will be no public visitation, and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

William G. “Bill” Croissant, 84, of Huntingdon, died May 31, 2026 in DuBois, PA, surrounded by his family. He was born in Kane, PA to the late Clifford and Mildred (Fox) Croissant. The youngest of four children, he is predeceased by his siblings Phyllis (Ronald) McNeur, Elizabeth (Richard) England, and Clifford “Larry” (Suzanne) Croissant.
While Bill’s earliest years were spent in Hazel Hurst, PA, the family then moved to New Kensington, PA, where Bill graduated from Ken High in 1959. His interests in music lead him to Penn State, where he graduated with a BS in Music Education in 1963, followed by an MA in 1965. At Penn State he was a member of the Penn State Blue Band under Dr. Jim Dunlop, as well as many other musical ensembles, including a concert choir trip to Europe. In addition to his musical pursuits, Bill was a member of Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity, Tau Chapter, at University Park. Bill married Patricia Evelyn Wielobob while at Penn State for his graduate degree, and had a daughter Jennifer Croissant (b. 1965) (R. D. Willits) and son, George (b. 1967).
Bill’s music education career started with positions in Trumansburg, NY and Elwood City, PA. In 1971 he started teaching at Huntingdon Area HS, with marching band, concert and jazz bands, and choir programs over the years. Later in his career Bill served as guest conductor for several County and Regional Band Festivals. He completed an MA in Music Performance, emphasizing conducting and composition, from IUP, with Dr. Jack Stamp in 1998.
During their spare time, both Bill and Pat volunteered with the Cadets (formerly Garfield Cadets) Drum and Bugle Corps, a commitment lasting thirty years. They traveled across the country to support young musicians. Upon his retirement he was a saxophonist with the Big Band Sound, conducted Take Note, a women’s choir in Huntingdon, and square danced with the Centre Squares of State College, PA.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, their children, his sister-in-law, as well as niece Karen (Rodney) Barber, and nephew Christopher Croissant and their families. He is also survived by his best cat buddy Oreo, but most importantly, by generations of students.
No memorial services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to a youth arts program in your area, or your local Humane Society.
