Last Friday, Scott from Underwood Funeral Home in Marysville held a Flag Folding demonstration/in-service for us as part of the We Honor Veterans program. Scott demonstrated how to properly fold the American Flag as well as what each of the folds in the flag folding represents. Thank you, Scott!

A personal care home that we had patients at unexpectedly shut down at the beginning of the year. After we placed our patients at a different Personal Care Home (PCH), our Somerset, PA Volunteer Coordinator (Merit Boucher) was worried about George who was the residents’ pet.

She went to the care home and found George outside. She was able to catch him to get him to safety and warmth. She then took him to get fixed where the vet saw he had severe infections in both ears.

Knowing they could only keep him with them until he was healthy, they began searching for rescues that would take him. They found Four Footed Friends in Indiana. They made sure to tell the rescue all about George and how he loved his patients.

We are OVER THE MOON to report that another Personal Care Home in Johnstown has adopted sweet, sweet George. He is now back on the job bringing joy to patients and their staff."
