I’m leaving yesterday feeling incredibly thankful for the opportunity to present at the 2026 Central Ohio Mental Health Professionals Conference 💚

Getting to share my passion for holistic and integrative mental health care with other clinicians was truly meaningful to me. As someone who cares deeply about helping people move through grief, trauma, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm, it’s always an honor to be invited into conversations with professionals who are committed to growing and supporting clients in deeper ways.

One of the things I appreciate most about presenting is the chance to connect—not just to teach. Some of the best moments came through the conversations afterward, hearing different perspectives, answering questions, and connecting with others who are passionate about this work.

I never take opportunities like this for granted, and I’m genuinely grateful to everyone who attended my presentation and engaged so openly throughout the day. Thank you for allowing me to share a piece of my heart and the work I care so deeply about 🌿✨

As I reflect on yesterday’s 2026 Central Ohio Mental Health Professionals Conference, I just feel incredibly grateful. 💚

What started as a vision to create a space for clinicians to learn, connect, and explore more integrative approaches to mental health care became a truly meaningful day because of all of you.

We had such an amazing lineup of presentations covering topics like trauma, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, expressive arts, executive functioning, nutrition, grief, and holistic healing—and I loved seeing so much engagement, curiosity, and connection throughout the day.

I’m also deeply thankful for the incredible organizations and sponsors who partnered with us to help make this event possible. Your support helped create an experience that I truly believe made an impact on our local mental health community.

And to every attendee who showed up, participated, asked thoughtful questions, connected with other clinicians, and invested in your own growth—thank you. It was such a joy to spend the day with people who care so deeply about supporting others.

I’m already looking forward to what’s ahead 🌿✨

**May the 4th be with you ✨**

In Star Wars, “the Force” is often described as a balance—something that connects, grounds, and influences everything.

In my work—whether I’m speaking, training, or working with professionals—I often come back to a similar idea:

Healing and growth are rarely one-dimensional.

We tend to focus on thoughts, behaviors, or even specific interventions… but sustainable change often requires a broader lens—one that considers the nervous system, the body, and the underlying factors that shape how people experience the world.

When we begin to approach mental health more holistically, we don’t just manage symptoms—we create the conditions for meaningful, lasting change.

May the 4th be with you—and may we continue to expand how we think about healing.

Tomorrow… it’s gonna be May.

And for some people, that line feels light, nostalgic, even a little funny.
But for others, the shift into a new month—especially in spring—can bring something heavier.

As a grief and trauma therapist, I see this every year.

Spring has a way of waking everything up. The sun lingers longer. The air softens. Life starts pushing forward again. And while the world is saying “look how everything is blooming,” you might be sitting with the quiet truth that something (or someone) is still missing.

Grief doesn’t follow the seasons.
Trauma doesn’t magically thaw just because the weather does.

Sometimes spring can actually make the contrast sharper—
between what is and what was,
between who you are now and who you used to be.

So if tomorrow being May doesn’t feel exciting… if it feels tender, confusing, or even heavy—that makes sense.

You don’t have to rush your healing to match the season.
You don’t have to bloom on command.

But here’s what I’ll gently offer:

Even in grief, there can be small signs of life.
Not big, dramatic transformations—just quiet moments.
A deeper breath. A little more light in the room. A moment of connection you didn’t expect.

Healing often looks less like a sudden spring and more like a slow, uneven thaw.

So as we step into May, maybe the goal isn’t to feel “better.”
Maybe it’s just to stay present. To notice. To allow.

Because even if it doesn’t feel like it yet—
something in you is still moving forward, too.
