NOW ACCEPTING PATIENTS!

Please help us welcome Dr. Claire Ruz to our practice next month! We are currently scheduling patients for Dr. Ruz. Learn more about her below. We are excited to have her join us!

Dr. Claire Ruz graduated from The Ohio State University and received her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Her goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care and create a welcoming environment where her patients feel heard and supported. Dr. Ruz grew up in Columbus. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and husband, Patrick, in addition to baking and reading.

ATTENTION: Due to a planned electrical outage we were just notified of, our office will be closed tomorrow, 7/9/26, until 1:30pm. If you have an appointment scheduled tomorrow morning you will be receiving a phone call to reschedule.

If you have a concern before 1:30pm, please call, leave a message, and our nurses will call you back. If you’re calling to reschedule an appointment, schedule a well visit, or have any other questions please wait to call until our office if fully open at 1:30pm.

Most COPC sites and services will be closed in advance of the holiday on Friday, July 3rd, and all locations and services will be closed on Saturday, July 4th.

COPC sites and services that regularly operate on Sundays will maintain their normal hours on July 5th.

Same-Day Care Options July 3rd:
If you need non-emergency medical care on Friday, we do have some same-day care options available.

🔹Pediatric Support Centers | Olentangy & Westerville locations
July 3rd Hours: 10 am- 6 pm
Call the same day to schedule at (614) 891-4705, or schedule on MyChart.

🔹SameDay Center | 4885 Olentangy River Road
July 3rd Hours: 8 am-4:30 pm
COPC patients 18 years or older can schedule a same-day appointment on MyChart or walk in to be seen.
(All other SameDay Centers will be closed on July 3rd.)

July 3rd Hours: 7:30 am- 11 pm
If you need non-emergency medical guidance when your COPC provider is not available, our nurse triage team is here for you! Call them at (614) 865-3125.

Congrats to our very own, Dr. Divya Parikh, for putting her time & dedication into advancing her leadership & communication skills by completing the 8 month Physician’s Leadership Academy through the Columbus Medical Association! Dr. Blazer will be joining the next class of the PLA, and Drs. Pugh, Bar-Lev, Pietropaolo & Sahai are past graduates of the PLA. Taking time to learn about the art of hosting meetings, communication skills & generative listening, change management & more allows us to show up better for ourselves, our staff, patients & families. We hope to continue this trend of continued investment in our growth to show up better for you!

Summer has arrived! Please keep the following information in mind when scheduling appointments or dropping of camp/daycare/sports/school/college forms. Also included are a few tips on MyChart messages and triage calls. 🌞🌈 🍋

* PHYSICAL APPOINTMENTS: We have our schedules open for appointments approximately 12 months in advance, so log into MyChart or call now to book your physical appointments for the summer. Don’t wait because our summer schedules have already started to quickly fill! If you would like to try to book two children two be seen at the same time, please call as MyChart does not have the capability to do this type of scheduling. We try to book siblings together (limit of 2 siblings at a time) if the schedule accommodates. We may not always have back-to-back time slots available, but we will do our best to get you scheduled. Thanks for understanding! 🩺

* FORMS: Before dropping off or sending in forms - ensure that the parent/student portion is entirely filled out and signed and that your child is up to date on their checkup. We need parents to fill out any current medications their child is taking or include a complete list of current medications. Please send in or drop off ALL pages of the form as the doctors often are required to look at the form in its entirety before completing and signing their portion. Incomplete forms will delay your form completion. Your child must be up to date on their checkup for us to complete any forms. Please allow us 3-5 business days for completion of forms. For extensive forms (FMLA, Guardianship forms, Disability, etc.), please allow us full 5 business days. Forms can be returned to families via your child's MyChart to save you a trip to the office for pick up. 🖊️

* MyChart/TRIAGE CALLS: Non-urgent questions can always be sent via MyChart and our triage nurses or physicians will reply to you. Urgent or same day questions should be called in. We know wait times can be longer than expected some days, as we are doing our best to give every patient the quality time and care they deserve. 📞 💻
