National Wear Gray Day is observed annually on May 27th as a key event during Brain Tumor Awareness Month. The day encourages people to wear gray clothing and ribbons to show support for patients, honor survivors, and raise funds for brain cancer research. Today at CCMG several of us wore gray.

Today we raise awareness for Brain Cancer Day — a time to educate about brain tumors and the importance of early detection.

Symptoms can vary, but persistent headaches, vision changes, balance issues, or seizures should never be ignored. Early diagnosis can make a meaningful difference in treatment outcomes.

At CCMG, we’re committed to supporting patients and families through every step of their cancer journey.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

“Never was so much owed by so many to so few.”
— Winston Churchill

Their courage, selflessness, and dedication secured the freedoms we enjoy today. At the Cancer Center of Middle Georgia, we are deeply grateful to all who have served and especially to those who gave everything for our country.

Today, we remember. We honor. We thank them and their families.

We’re proud to share a recent interview featuring Dr. Harsha Vyas from the Community Oncology Alliance Conference in Orlando.

In the conversation with Oncology News Central, Dr. Vyas discusses the importance of protecting and advancing community oncology, the growing administrative and policy challenges practices face, and the need for continued physician advocacy.

“Now, more than ever, it is crucial to focus on bringing awareness to the dying breed of community oncology.” — Dr. Harsha Vyas, MD FACP

Today, we raise awareness for Bladder Cancer Day, which brings attention to a cancer that is often overlooked.

One of the most common warning signs is blood in the urine, even if it happens once. Other symptoms can include frequent or painful urination.

When detected early, bladder cancer is highly treatable, making awareness and timely evaluation critical.

If something feels off, don’t wait. Please get checked.
