Hope Pediatrics β Meet Our Team & Services π
π Hope Pediatrics is growing β and it's all thanks to you!
For 8 years, Hope Pediatrics has been proud to care for the children and families of Dublin and Middle Georgia. What began as a vision shared by Dr. Leah Helton and Dr. Drew Moorman has grown into a trusted home for pediatric care β and as our community grows, so do we. π
Here's a look at everything we now provide β plus the wonderful providers behind it all.
Meet Dr. Drew Moorman π¨ββοΈ
A co-founder of Hope Pediatrics, Dr. Moorman has deep roots in this community β he grew up right down the road in Wrightsville, Georgia, and was born at the former Laurens County hospital (now part of the Middle Georgia University campus).
A graduate of Johnson County High School, he earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Mercer University in Macon, completed his pediatric residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and spent 10 years as a pediatrician in Charlotte. He brought that experience home to help build Hope Pediatrics into the practice families across our area rely on today. π
Meet Dr. Leah Helton π©ββοΈ
A co-founder of Hope Pediatrics, Dr. Helton has spent her career caring for the families of Middle Georgia. She grew up in Sandersville, graduated from Washington County High School, and went on to earn both her college and medical degrees from Mercer University.
She completed her pediatric internship and residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, then practiced pediatrics in Sandersville for four years before moving her family to Dublin in 2013 β the community she's proud to call home and to serve. Together with Dr. Moorman, she built Hope Pediatrics into the trusted practice it is today. π
Meet Dr. Matthew Wright π¨ββοΈ
We're thrilled to welcome Dr. Wright, the newest pediatrician joining our practice! Dr. Wright grew up in Macon, GA and graduated from First Presbyterian Day school, UGA for undergrad, and obtained his medical degree from Mercer University. He is a Middle Georgia native who's excited to put down roots and raise his family right here in Dublin.
Mark your calendars β Dr. Wright begins seeing patients in August! We can't wait for you to meet him. π
Meet Laura Oliver, PA-C π©ββοΈ
Laura is our dedicated physician assistant, bringing an incredible 15 years of pediatric experience to our team!
As a PA-C, Laura is a highly trained, licensed provider who works alongside our physicians to expand access to care β meaning shorter wait times, more available appointments, and trusted expertise when your child needs it most. From well-child visits and sick appointments to the everyday questions that come with parenting, Laura provides the same compassionate, high-quality care our families count on. Laura is an essential part of what makes Hope Pediatrics feel like home.
Meet Chris Scrivner π
Chris wears two hats at Hope Pediatrics β he's both our practice manager and our in-house prosthetist/orthotist, bringing 12 years of experience to the role, with the last four dedicated exclusively to pediatric patients.
So what does an orthotist/prosthetist do? Chris designs, fits, and creates custom orthotic braces and prosthetic devices that help kids move, grow, and thrive. From braces that support developing muscles and correct alignment (think helmets as well as foot, ankle, and leg orthotics) to custom prosthetics for limb differences, his work helps children gain mobility, independence, and confidence. Because these services are offered in-house β and open to outside referrals β families throughout our community can access expert, personalized care close to home.
A graduate of Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and Mercer University, Chris is proud to bring this specialized care right to our community.π
Meet Allie McCullers, OT π
With 8 years of pediatric occupational therapy experience and a passion for helping children reach their fullest potential, Allie provides individualized, evidence-based care for a wide variety of developmental needs.
OT helps children build the skills they need for everyday life β everything from developmental milestones and fine motor skills (like writing, buttoning, and using utensils) to sensory processing, coordination, self-care routines, and play. For many kids, OT is the key to greater independence, confidence, and success at home, at school, and beyond.
Allie is currently credentialed with all major insurance plans accepted by Hope Pediatrics, and she can see patients from any primary care provider with a referral β not just Hope Pediatrics patients. π
Meet Whetherly "Mrs. Dottie" Ladson, LCSW π
We're delighted to introduce our new Child, Adolescent & Family Therapist to the Hope Pediatrics family!
With a true heart for children and families, Mrs. Dottie creates a safe, compassionate space where young people feel seen, understood, and supported. Through personalized therapy and family support, she helps school-aged children and adolescents navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, emotional-regulation challenges, and life transitions β all while building confidence, resilience, and hope. π
π One More Thing! π
All of our ancillary services β orthotics & prosthetics, occupational therapy, and counseling β are open to everyone in our community, no matter where your child receives primary care. You don't have to be a Hope Pediatrics patient to be seen! We're here to support families across the area.
Hope Pediatrics β proudly serving Dublin and Middle Georgia for 8 years, and growing with our community every step of the way. π±π
