Mountain Sage Family Clinic will be closing September 1, 2023

Dear valued patients,

With a heavy heart, I inform you of the upcoming closure of the clinic. This difficult decision has been made in response to several factors:

1. My constant frustration with the enormous amount of paperwork and billing. The time this requires takes me away from patient care, which is what I love.

2. My long-time love of working with wellness was reignited by my recent cancer diagnosis. It helped me gain clarity that wellness is the path I need and want to follow with my work. You will hear more about this as my plans continue to unfold.

3. The economic climate of healthcare – reduced reimbursements and inflation create an unsustainable business model.

My primary concern during this transition time is the continuity of your healthcare. I’m committed to ensuring a seamless transition for all patients. As part of this, I recommend several exceptional healthcare providers: Saint John's Health in Jackson, renowned for their outstanding patient care and modern facilities, and Hot Springs Health in Riverton, known for their comprehensive health services and patient-centered approach.

The security and accessibility of your medical records are of utmost importance. To facilitate the transfer of your records, I will need a signed release form. Please visit the clinic to fill out this form at your earliest convenience.

Once I receive your completed form, I’m happy to electronically send your records to the healthcare provider of your choice. If you prefer a hard copy, it can be picked up from our clinic for a fee of $20 or mailed to your designated address for a fee of $25. We are unable to burn CDs with medical records. Please rest assured that all requests for medical records will be processed within one week of receipt.

Your trust and support over the years have been invaluable, and I’m incredibly grateful for the privilege of serving as your nurse practitioner. I wish you continued health and wellness in the future.

Here’s a quick way to dial back stress.

This exercise helps to slow breathing & the long exhale engages the brakes to the stress system. And you can do this anytime, anywhere.

* Inhale through the nose for 4 seconds
* Hold for 4 seconds
* Exhale through the mouth for 6 seconds
* Hold for 2 seconds

Repeat for 2-3 minutes.

Benefits:

Regular practice of the 4-4-6-2 breathing technique relaxes your body, induces a sense of calmness of the body and the mind, brings clarity and sharpens your focus.
