Is your child keeping up with their milestones?
Every child develops at their own pace, but coordination skills are the building blocks for confident movement, play, and learning.
Here are a few gross motor milestones to watch for:
👶 Birth–12 months: Rolling, sitting independently, crawling, pulling to stand, and taking first steps
🚶 1–2 years: Walking confidently, climbing onto furniture, beginning to run, kicking a ball
🤸 2–3 years: Jumping with two feet, walking up and down stairs, throwing a ball, standing briefly on one foot
⚽ 3–4 years: Hopping, pedaling a tricycle, catching a large ball, balancing on one foot for several seconds, climbing and running with confidence
If your child seems to trip often, avoid playground activities, struggle with balance, or isn't meeting expected movement milestones, Physical Therapy can help improve strength, coordination, balance, and confidence.
