Last week, we had the honor of serving the Smyth family as they celebrated the life of Mike - a great guy who was clearly loved by his family. It was only fitting that his prized Corvette was front and center outside our funeral home during his visitation. The next day, his granddaughter and grandson-in-law had the special honor of driving Mike's Corvette in the funeral procession.

Mike's love of cars and motorcycles was an important part of who he was. He was a talented small engine mechanic who loved car shows and the open road.

Those personal details - the things someone loved, the places they went, the hobbies they shared, and the people they loved - are what make each life so unique. We are honored to help families like the Smyths celebrate those lives in meaningful and personal ways. It is a responsibility we never take lightly.

And then came the unexpected and very personal thank-you to Adam Thielen from the family. They know Adam loves his fun socks, so they gifted him a pair covered in red Corvettes and another pair featuring motorcycles!

It was such a thoughtful gesture and one we truly appreciated. Thank you to the Smyth family for trusting Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen to care for Mike and your family. It was our privilege to be part of his final journey - and to help celebrate a life so full of the things he loved. ❤️
