💚 July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Mental health affects everyone, but not everyone has the same access to care. This month, we recognize the importance of breaking down barriers, reducing stigma, and ensuring that every individual feels seen, heard, and supported.

At Northern Waters Clinic, we believe everyone deserves compassionate, respectful, and culturally responsive mental health care. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or simply need someone to talk to, you don't have to face it alone.

Our team provides:
🌿 Individual therapy
🌿 Medication management
🌿 Trauma-informed care
🌿 LGBTQIA+ affirming services
🌿 Telehealth and in-person appointments

Taking the first step toward caring for your mental health is an act of strength. If you or someone you know has been considering therapy or psychiatric services, we're here to help.

📞 Call us today at 218-727-3888 to learn more or schedule an appointment.

🧠💙 PTSD Awareness Month 💙🧠

June is PTSD Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support healing for those impacted by trauma.

At Northern Waters Clinic, we want to acknowledge that PTSD can affect anyone—regardless of age, background, or life experience. Trauma responses are not a sign of weakness; they are a natural response to overwhelming experiences.

PTSD may look like:
✨ Intrusive thoughts or memories
✨ Nightmares or sleep disruption
✨ Feeling “on edge” or easily startled
✨ Avoiding reminders of difficult experiences
✨ Emotional numbness or disconnection

Healing is possible with the right support. Evidence-based treatment can help reduce symptoms and improve daily functioning over time.

If you or someone you know is struggling, reaching out is a strong and important step.

💙 Men’s Mental Health Month 💙

June is Men’s Health Month, a time to bring attention to the importance of men’s emotional well-being, early support, and breaking down the stigma around seeking help.

At Northern Waters Clinic, we recognize that men often face unique pressures—such as expectations to “stay strong,” provide for others, or handle stress alone. Too often, this leads to untreated anxiety, depression, burnout, or substance use struggles.

Mental health is health.

🧠 Common concerns we support include:
• Anxiety & depression
• Stress & burnout
• Trauma & PTSD
• Relationship challenges
• Sleep difficulties
• Life transitions

Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Treatment works, and no one has to manage things alone.
