Thank you to all who attended the Family Fiesta. It is an event that is focused on connecting families with families, discussing why family council is important and to encourage families to join the council to advocate for their loved ones. Ecumen’s CEO, Cyrus Batheja, COO Tami Haley, Blaine Gamst Sr. Director of Campus Operations, Kristy Johnson, Executive Director of Lakeshore, Missy Nelson, Housing Director, and Cathy Firth receptionist along with the Life Enrichment department were present to meet and greet families. Families certainly connected over some fiesta style foods and drink. It was a great evening for all. If interested in joining the Family Council – monthly meeting is the third Thursday of each month- Sept-May at 4:00 pm Contact Life Enrichment if interested.

Ecumen Lakeshore has a new therapy dog named Dr. Pepper. He is a rescue race dog that is so gentle and perfect for pet visits throughout the Memory Care unit and other facility areas. The Meet and Greet happened last week – come meet Dr. Pepper and have a Dr. Pepper too. So many have their names on the list to have a visit in the future. He was well received and we are happy he will be coming to our facility each week. Thank you, Susan (his owner) and Dr. Pepper, for offering his companionship.

Dress in your beachwear and come to the beach ball volleyball game in our chapel. Every time we have a volleyball game the room is filled with uncontrollable laughter, smiles, and fun times. It is always an event that many look forward to.

Our 3rd Annual Team Member Progressive Potluck was a hit at Ecumen Lakeshore! 🍽️ Team members from across all Lakeshore departments, along with Duluth Home Care & Hospice, came together to share great food, creative décor, and even better company. It was a fun way to explore campus, connect with colleagues—and of course, compete for the trophy. Congratulations to the Fountains Team on their second win!

Ecumen Lakeshore had their second Annual Prom with the theme “Life is Better Under the Sea” We had a Sea Water Happy Hour, a lovely dinner with shell pasta, Under the Sea pictures, Music by Abe Curran, and dancing. We even had a couple come dressed as King and Queen of the Sea! It was a fantastic evening!

Life is certainly better Under the Sea at Ecumen Lakeshore!
