On August 6, we celebrated National Root Beer Float Day on the Crest Patio with a beautiful afternoon filled with sunshine, laughter, and sweet treats. We scooped up 80 to 100 root beer floats for residents and guests to enjoy while spending time together outdoors.

After everyone finished their floats, we took the opportunity to capture photos of the beautiful faces that make Ecumen Lakeshore such a special place. The sun was shining brightly, but it was the smiles of our residents that truly lit up the afternoon.

Join us as we explore the many transitions life brings—both the challenges and the opportunities for growth. This supportive gathering offers space for grief support, education, and meaningful connection with others who have experienced losses of various kinds, including the death of a loved one, shifts in independence and residence, changes in relationships, and other significant life changes.

Led by Ecumen Hospice staff, our time together provides a compassionate environment to share stories, learn new insights, and walk alongside one another as we navigate grief and discover new beginnings. Ecumen Lakeshore was delighted to welcome musicians from the Chamber Music Festival again this year for a special performance. Residents shared many wonderful comments and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The musicians will also be presenting a public performance tonight at the Mitchell Auditorium at the College of Saint Scholastica. It is truly a magical experience.
