Nicole Krenner started working at Kohl's last November. She loves her job and works very hard. Nicole works 3 days a week, and you can find her busily re-hanging clothes from the fitting rooms so they can get back onto the sales floor. She always has a smile for her customers and is an important member of the team!
Way to go, Nicole. Keep shining!

Mary Paschke after a several years out of the workforce, decided it was time to get back to working. Mary has found a job doing what she loves, working at the ISD 709 schools. This is Mary’s second school year working at Lester Park Elementary doing dishes. Mary works 2 days a week. She loves going to work every day and seeing the kids and her coworkers. Mary is well known for her organization and keeping the dish area neat and clean. Mary does really well with the fast pace environment. Keep up the great work Mary!

This is Angel Hathaway’s third school year washing dishes at Myers-Wilkins, and second school year at Homecroft Elementary. Angel’s favorite part of the day is saying hi to kids when they bring her their trays! Angel takes pride in keeping the school’s kitchens clean and tidy. Angel’s co-workers really admire her strong work ethic! A perk of the job that Angel enjoys is free school lunches at the end of her shift. Way to go Angel!

Katie Johnson has worked at, Super One Foods at the Plaza, as a bagger for over 8 years now! Katie is dedicated to her job. Katie bags groceries, retrieves carts, helps customers, and sanitizes tables that people eat at. Katie takes every opportunity she can to learn new skills and maximize her potential. Katie says the best part of her job is being able to talk to customers and meet new people. When Katie isn’t working, she enjoys going for coffee, coloring, and giving back to her community. Katie, keep up the amazing hard work and dedication!

For the past two years, Jonah Plys has been bringing his friendly smile and incredible work ethic to Planet Fitness! He plays an important role in keeping the gym clean, organized, and running smoothly so members can focus on their workouts. From checking members in and ringing up snacks and beverages, to making sure the equipment is ready to go, Jonah is always willing to step in and help! 💪
Jonah brings that same dedication to his own health and fitness. He follows a structured daily workout routine and carefully tracks his nutrition. Outside of work, he stays active by volunteering throughout the community and enjoys keeping up with sports.
Jonah is a fantastic example of positivity, commitment, and healthy living. Way to go, Jonah! Keep up the awesome work! 🌟🙌

Leanna has been working at Kwik Trip for over three years. She works as a retail helper which means she gets to do a variety of tasks. Leanna unloads the daily delivery truck and restocks the store. She also keeps the coffee area clean and even operates the floor scrubber! Leanna has developed some amazing relationships with her co-workers and has established herself as a highly valued member of the team. Last year, Leanna was involved in a Work Experience at Duluth Trading Company . She did such an amazing job that they hired her on permanently. Leanna stays busy by processing clothes and does a great job preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Awesome work at both of your jobs, Leanna!

Austin Horstmann has worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts for three years! Austin is very proud of his job, as he is blind and it was very difficult for him to find the right job match. Austin has always loved cars, so O’Reilly is the perfect fit! Austin is sure to greet guests as soon as they walk in the door! He can look up parts on the computer, let customers know where items are, and he can try to help troubleshoot car issues to help customers out. Austin takes pride in his job and loves all the different vehicles and customers coming in He is always looking for ways to learn new tasks. You have inspired many, Austin!

Vern Erickson has been a dedicated team member at the Fond-du-Luth Casino for six years. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, he stays constantly on the move while managing his main responsibilities: keeping the slot machines spotless and maintaining the seating areas across both floors. Vern is known for his infectious smile and his constant readiness to assist players whenever they need a hand. His positive attitude makes him a favorite among his co-workers. Keep up the fantastic work, Vern!

Shawn Stanich has been working at the DECC - Duluth Entertainment Convention Center since 2025, but was volunteering for years before that. One day, they said “Hey Shawn, you are always willing to help. We think you’d be a great employee here” Since then, Shawn has trained in Guest services, Concessions, and Catering. He frequently works major events like UMD Hockey, Conventions, and even has a few concerts under his belt. He has also been included in special jobs where only a few people get to help. They know if it needs to get done, Shawn is ready with his enthusiastic spirit. He’s always saying GO BULLDOGS! But, today we are saying GO SHAWN!

Jenny Schilling has been working at HomeGoods for almost 2 years now! She works 3 to 4 days a week. Jenny is in charge of all the boxes in the backroom when they’ve been emptied by her coworkers. Jenny will put them in the compacter to be broken down more, she has gotten so strong doing that! She loves to joke around with her coworkers. Jenny loves learning new jobs and getting to do other tasks around HomeGoods. She enjoys how independent she is. Jenny is known for her great sense of humor!! Keep up the good work Jenny!
