Here at Diamond Willow we take pride in our person centered care model which is uniquely different from most diagnosis based care systems.

We offer small intimate community settings of 8-16 residents per home and site based RN’s who work with the onsite leadership team and the direct care staff to assure that your loved one’s needs are being met. With that comes the belief that bigger is not always better. Each setting is designed to be intimate with fewer residents per suite, allowing us to have smaller communities to promote our pe

rson centered care model in a truly calm and comforting home-like environment. This affords us the ability to provide one on one attention in a more positive, healthy atmosphere to each and every individual. It is because of this model that we offer the industry leading staffing ratios of 1:5 during awake hours and 1:13 overnight. We also recognize that moving multiple times later in life is everything short of desirable. As care needs increase and evolve our person oriented program is designed to provide varying levels of care in a personal suite from arrival through end of life, highly reducing the need to change facilities in the future.

One week ago we had ourselves some FUN at our Annual Summer BBQ.

It was especially sweet (or maybe not) for the Nursing team who had to face the music…or…face the pie?

Needless to say, our residents savored the moment!

Wow! What an absolute blast at our Annual Summer BBQ. Thanks to all the family and friends that packed the building for this big day.

Special thanks to Upper Lakes Foods, Inc. for their grill master skills and to Lauralloons for twisting up some balloon fun for all ages.

There was even talk of some pies in the face…but perhaps that’s for another post 😉

We are always looking for ways to bring joy and smiles to our residents.

An added bonus is that music has been shown to activate nearly every region of the brain at once. WOW! What a benefit for those with neurological challenges.
