Now accepting new clients! APC is exited to share that Rebecca Cottrell, MSW LGSW, has joined their clinical team. Rebecca, originally from Spooner, WI, earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin - Superior and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota - Duluth. Her past professional experience includes working with teens and young adults navigating emotional, behavioral, and medical challenges in residential settings.
Rebecca is passionate about working with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community and helping clients during some of their most transformative years from pre-teen to early adulthood. She enjoys helping clients navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and more.
She believes in a trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based approach to counseling, and places emphasis on understanding the personal experiences and worldviews of her clients.
Growing up in Northwest Wisconsin nature became one of Rebecca’s happy places, so outside of work she enjoys exploring the beautiful Twin Ports area via hiking or mountain biking. When the weather has other plans though she enjoys crocheting, reading, and watching the latest true crime documentary.
Rebecca offers both in-person and online counseling services.
