💙 Great eye care is about more than improving vision. It’s about protecting it!
Meet Mr. Lacey!
After being referred to us by our good friends at Georgia Retina, Mr. Lacey came to Georgia Eye Physicians & Surgeons looking for an experienced cataract surgeon.
But sometimes, what we discover during an eye examination is just as important as the reason for the visit.
During his evaluation, Dr. Segal’s attentive team identified that Mr. Lacey had narrow drainage angles, a condition that can increase the risk of an acute angle-closure attack, a potentially sight-threatening emergency.
The team promptly alerted Dr. Segal, who recognized the concern and recommended a preventive laser procedure to help reduce the risk of an angle-closure attack and protect Mr. Lacey’s vision.
While cataract surgery is one of Dr. Segal’s specialties, exceptional eye care goes far beyond performing surgery. It’s about recognizing potential problems, taking preventive action, and always making the patient’s safety and long-term vision a priority.
We are grateful to Mr. Lacey for trusting us with his eye care and to our friends at Georgia Retina for their continued confidence in our team.
