We celebrated Halloween at the AOC today 🖤 🧡

We had a potluck style lunch featuring several delicious spooky treats made by our members, games, Halloween crafts, and a parade down Ohio Avenue.

*We’re kinda, sorta, not really all that sorry for any sugar highs your loved one might experience as a result of all the goodies we had on hand 😳

Today, our hearts are heavy as we share our love and deepest condolences with our sweet April, who lost her beloved mother yesterday.

While many of us never had the pleasure of meeting her mother, we know she must have been a truly remarkable woman. You can tell so much about a mother’s love, strength, and character by the children she raises. And if April is any reflection of her mother, then we know this world has lost someone incredibly special.

April is beautiful inside and out, hardworking, kind, and such a blessing to our work family. We have no doubt that so much of the wonderful person she is today comes from the love and guidance of her mother.

April, please know that your work family is wrapping you in love, prayers, and support during this heartbreaking time. We hope you find comfort in knowing that your mother’s love and legacy will continue to shine through you every single day.

Please join us in keeping April and her family in your thoughts and prayers. ♥️

We celebrated National Pasta Month/World Pasta Day at the AOC today and had a pasta-tively good time!

We enjoyed a spaghetti lunch and played several pasta-themed games 🍝 ♥️

Did you know that October is National Pasta Month?!

Or that October 25th is World Pasta Day?!

We sure didn’t.

BUT we all know now and we are pasta-tively excited to celebrate it!

This Friday, October 23rd, we will be celebrating our own Pasta Day at the AOC.

Our members will be given the option of eating a delicious spaghetti lunch and participating in a fun day of pasta-themed games and activities.

Today at the AOC, we celebrated creativity, individuality, and the beauty of what makes each of us unique with our pumpkin decorating contest!

You may notice that some of our pumpkins look alike. That’s because some of us chose the same decorating kits. But if you look a little closer, you’ll see that no two pumpkins are exactly the same.

Isn’t that a beautiful reflection of life?

We may share similarities, make the same choices, or see the world differently, but each of us brings something special that no one else can. Every pumpkin has its own personality, its own little details, and its own beauty….just like the incredible individuals we serve.

Today wasn’t just about decorating pumpkins. It was about celebrating self-expression, embracing differences, and recognizing that individuality isn’t always found in the big things. Sometimes, it’s the smallest details that make us extraordinary.

Same kits. Different creations. Every single one a masterpiece. Just like each of us. 🧡
