No matter how much time passes...

No matter how many mornings I've gotten through since that day.

No matter how many times people have told me I'm strong.

Or that it gets easier.

Or that they're in a better place.

There is still a part of me that never left that moment.

The moment I found out...

The moment the world I knew ended.

The moment my legs stopped working and something inside me went somewhere it has never fully come back from.

Time kept moving.

I kept moving.

But that part of me....

The part that was on the floor that day.

The part that was begging for something different to be true.

The part that couldn't breathe and couldn't think and couldn't understand how the world was just continuing like nothing happened...

That part never got up.

It's still there.

In that moment.

On that day.

And I don't think it will ever fully leave.

Because that was the day everything changed.

And some parts of you don't survive that unchanged.

They just learn to live alongside the person you became after.

Respectfully you risk perpetuating the myth that su***de is unavoidable.

For many or even most people, su***de does result from an impulse, a moment of delusion. Obviously there will be the background of suicidal thoughts but it's very often an impulsive act and being given the opportunity to pause and think again can save lives. Suicidal people are NOT incapable of staying alive. In most cases su***de is preventable, safety plans can keep people alive, and the terrible feelings that lead to su***de can be overcome and moved past. Most people who are talked down or rescued from a su***de attempt will never attempt su***de again.

Understanding Narcissism: The Impact of Narcissistic Abuse

Narcissism, often characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance and a deep need for admiration, can deeply affect those around them. Individuals with narcissistic personality disorder often lack empathy, making it difficult for them to understand or care about others' feelings. This lack of empathy can lead to emotional abuse, where manipulation, gaslighting, and exploitation become common tactics. Victims may feel isolated and doubt their own reality.

If you or someone you know is experiencing narcissistic abuse, it’s important to seek support. The National Su***de Prevention Lifeline, now accessible by dialing or texting 988, provides confidential support and resources 24/7. For more information, visit their website at 988lifeline.org

Remember, understanding and recognizing narcissistic behaviors is the first step toward healing.
