When anxiety wants an answer, it can feel impossible to leave the question unanswered.

But you don’t have to solve every “what if?” You don’t have to figure out exactly what a sensation means. And you don’t have to give anxiety the certainty it’s asking for.

Sometimes, the practice is simply noticing the question... and choosing not to answer it.

You can live with fear and not in fear. 🤍

Sometimes, the thing keeping you stuck isn’t the symptom; it’s the constant need to figure out what the symptom means.

Health anxiety wants you to solve every sensation, prepare for every possibility, and stay focused on what could go wrong.

But what happens when you start putting that energy back into your life?

The people you love.
The places you want to go.
The things that actually matter to you.

You don’t have to wait until every symptom, sensation, or fear is gone to start living again. ❤️

You can live with fear, and not in fear.

A sensation can be completely real and still not be reliable evidence that something is wrong.

This is one of the hardest things to learn with health anxiety. A headache, twitch, ache, or change in your body can grab your attention, but the sensation itself doesn’t automatically tell you why it’s happening.

The goal isn’t to convince yourself that every sensation is harmless. It’s to stop treating every sensation like a problem that needs to be solved.

A real sensation doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong.

Your body can feel weird, uncomfortable, or unfamiliar without it being a sign that something is seriously wrong.

Health anxiety can make sensations feel urgent, but you don’t have to investigate every feeling or find an explanation for it.

Sometimes, you can notice the sensation and keep living your life anyway. 💛

The sensation may be real. The worry about what it means may still be anxiety.

One of the hardest parts of health anxiety is learning that noticing something in your body doesn’t always mean you need to investigate, check, or find an explanation.

You can notice a sensation without immediately turning it into a problem to solve.

Sometimes we think we need to get rid of fear before we can move forward.

But the goal isn’t always to make anxiety disappear. It’s learning that you can feel fear without letting it run the show.

You can notice the urge to check, Google, or seek reassurance and practice waiting instead of immediately responding.

Because the more we practice making room for uncomfortable feelings, the more we learn that we can handle them.

You don’t have to wait for anxiety to go away to start living your life.
🤍 Live with fear, not in fear.

Save this as a reminder for the next time anxiety tells you that you need to check.

When health anxiety tells you that you need to check, Google, or ask for reassurance, it can feel almost impossible to resist the urge.

So instead of telling yourself, “I’m never going to do it,” try practicing a delay.

Give yourself some time to sit with the fear and anxiety without immediately responding to it. ⏳

You might notice that the intensity starts to come down, the urge becomes less important, or you simply make it to the other side of the feeling without doing the thing anxiety was asking you to do.

The goal isn’t to force the anxiety away. It’s to give yourself the chance to experience: “I can feel this urge without acting on it.”

Save this for the next time you find yourself in a health anxiety spiral, and follow along for more tools to help you break the cycle. 🤍

Not every behavior that looks “healthy” is actually helping you. 👀

The question to ask is: What’s the function of this behavior?

Am I doing this because it adds to my life, or because anxiety is telling me I have to?

Learning to live with fear, rather than living in fear, starts with noticing the difference. 💙
