We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to AJ’s Greenhouse for their generosity and community spirit.

Located just across the street from Mesa Verde Estates, AJ’s Greenhouse donated beautiful flowers and plants today that will make our community even brighter and more welcoming. The beautiful flowers and arrangements will bring so much joy to our residents, staff, and visitors.

If you have not had the chance to visit, AJ’s Greenhouse offers an incredible selection of flowers, plants, and garden treasures. They are closing for the season soon - hurry and get yours before they are gone 🤍

Recently, one of our residents asked if her book club could meet here at Mesa Verde Estates. Of course, we were happy to help! The group reserved our activities room, gathered with their books in hand, and spent the afternoon enjoying great conversation, plenty of laughter, and the company of good friends.

It was wonderful to see familiar traditions continue in a new setting. The smiles around the room were a reminder that moving into a senior living community does not mean leaving your favorite activities behind. Sometimes it simply means having easier access to the people, spaces, and opportunities that make life meaningful.

Thank you to this wonderful group for sharing a piece of their story with us. We loved seeing our community become the perfect gathering place for friends, books, and connection. 📚🤍

Today, our residents had the opportunity to attend a Fall Prevention Training led by the wonderful team at PASCO Home Health and Hospice. They learned practical tips, helpful safety strategies, and simple changes that can help reduce the risk of falls both inside and outside the home.

Lunch tastes a little better when you’re sharing it with someone you love. 🤍

Last week, one of our residents enjoyed a visit from his daughter, who joined him for lunch in our dining room and often times, his granddaughter and great grandson come as well. Moments like these are what community is all about.

Families and friends are always welcome to join residents for meals, activities, games, movies, and special events. We love seeing our community filled with laughter, conversation, and time well spent together. It’s all part of making Mesa Verde Estates feel like home.

It’s so special seeing a resident truly settle into their new home.

This week, one of our residents hosted a gathering with friends from her previous neighborhood here in Durango and the wonderful friends she has already made here at Mesa Verde Estates. Watching everyone come together, share stories, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company was a beautiful reminder that home is not just a place…it is the people we share it with.

Moving to a new community can be a big transition, but moments like these show how meaningful new friendships can be while still cherishing the connections that have been part of our lives for years.

Some moments in Memory Care are quiet. Some are challenging. And some are filled with laughter, smiles, and a balloon floating through the air while everyone cheers each other on while they whack it! 🤍

At Mesa Verde Estates, we know that meaningful moments matter. Whether it’s sharing stories, playing balloon ball with friends, or simply sitting beside someone during a hard day, our team is here to create connection, comfort, and joy in every season.

Today was one of those joy-filled days, and seeing our residents laughing alongside our caregivers was a beautiful reminder that happiness can be found in the simplest moments. 🎈

This morning, someone from the leadership team brought their five-year-old daughter to work with them. She spotted a group of ladies in the dining room enjoying iced tea together and walked right up to them and asked, “Do you want to color with me?”

Before long, the table was covered in coloring pages, markers, laughter, and sweet conversation. The ladies were asking her questions, smiling ear to ear, and enjoying every minute of it.

It was such a simple moment, but such a beautiful reminder that life in a community is about so much more than scheduled activities. Sometimes the best moments happen naturally… over iced tea, markers, and the joy of connection between generations. 🤍
