All of our 1 and 2 year old well child checks include lead testing per state recommendations. SE Oklahoma isn’t historically known as a high lead area, but we do pick up a few high ones every year. Elevated lead can affect how a child's body grows and brain develops, so it’s important to identify patients with high levels.
