May is Mental Health Awareness Month ๐Ÿ’š

At Bryan County EMS, we recognize that mental health is just as important as physical health. Life can be overwhelming, and many people silently face challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and burnout.

As first responders, healthcare workers, family members, friends, and neighbors, it is important that we continue breaking the stigma surrounding mental health conversations. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

This month, we encourage everyone to check in on themselves and those around them. A simple conversation, kind word, or listening ear can make a meaningful difference.

You are not alone. Support is available, and your mental health mattersโ€”this month and every month.

Over the past two weeks, weโ€™ve had the honor of celebrating two incredible milestones at Bryan County EMS! ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ’š

Please join us in recognizing:

- Deputy Director Nate Toews โ€“ 17 years of dedicated service

Their years of hard work, leadership, and compassion have made a lasting impact on our team and the community we serve. We are grateful for their continued dedication to excellence in EMS.

Today we want to take a moment to recognize and thank the incredible team at the Durant/Bryan County Communications Center.

Your hard work, dedication, and calm voices behind the scenes are what keep everything moving when seconds matter most. You are the first link in the chain of care, and your commitment never goes unnoticed.

From all of us at Bryan County EMS, thank you for everything you do each and every day. We truly could not do our job without you. ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ“ž๐Ÿ’š

Today, we honor Mindi Allen on what would have been her 8-year anniversary with Bryan County EMS. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿš‘

For nearly eight years, Mindi dedicated her life to serving others โ€” showing up with compassion, strength, and a heart that never hesitated to help those in need. She was the kind of paramedic you could always count on, the one who made tough calls a little easier and long shifts a little lighter.

Although we lost Mindi this past January, her impact is still felt every single day. In every patient cared for, every life touched, and every crew that carries on the work she loved so much โ€” a piece of her remains.

Today isnโ€™t just about the loss we carry, but the legacy she built. We celebrate her dedication, her service, and the countless ways she made a difference.

Happy 8-year anniversary, Mindi. Your time with us meant everything, and your memory continues to guide us. ๐Ÿ–ค
