This year’s conference will take you on a journey from fundamentals of cardiac anatomy to the cutting edge of 3D visualization, exploring how to transition “from pig heart to probe” to better understand complex structures.

Attendees will gain a systematic approach to the evaluation of mitral regurgitation and tricuspid regurgitation using 3D technology, providing the precision required for modern clinical practice.

Mitral annuloplasty ring dehiscence represents a rare postoperative, procedure-related complication of mitral valve (MV) repair.

We report the case of a young man with prior mitral and tricuspid ring annuloplasty who presented with sudden dyspnea and was ultimately diagnosed with mitral annuloplasty ring dehiscence associated with a pericardial hematoma, identified using comprehensive multimodal imaging.

Left ventricular pseudoaneurysm (LVPA) is a rare but serious complication after mitral valve (MV) replacement and most frequently involves the posterior atrioventricular groove (AVG), reflecting the structural vulnerability of the posterior mitral annulus, which lacks a robust fibrous skeleton.

We report a case in which a posterior AVG hematoma-like lesion identified intraoperatively was later found on follow-up imaging to be consistent with LVPA after MV replacement. Read the CASE report: bit.ly/3SaiCBG

Have you read our newest , "Guidelines for the Prevention of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders for Cardiac Sonographers?" bit.ly/4fBKWpw

Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs) affect up to 90% of cardiovascular sonographers and remain a leading cause of occupational injury despite improvements in technology and awareness.

These guidelines, developed by the American Society of Echocardiography, provide evidence-based recommendations to reduce WRMSD risk through a shared-responsibility framework involving employers, sonographers, educators, manufacturers, and healthcare administrators.
