Emerge Pediatric Therapy is currently searching for Pediatric Occupational Therapists with a passion for working with children and families in a supportive, collaborative, and fun environment, who want to enhance the lives of the clients we serve and the families who love them.

At Emerge, you'd be working with kids on the things that make everyday life easier for them and their families, like sensory processing, regulation, executive function, fine and gross motor skills, and self-care.
You'd be part of a team of OTs, PTs, and speech therapists who talk to each other, problem-solve together, and care a lot about doing right by the families we serve. Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming, which means we celebrate the strengths that make our clients the absolute best and support ourselves through that same lens.

We're a fun, collaborative, and thoughtful team who would LOVE to meet you!

We had so much fun practicing and playing and tricking or treating with all of you!! Thank you so much to our friends at Holman Family Dental Care for their partnership and support as we provided a sensory friendly practice opportunity to kids in our community.

Happy National Pasta Day! 🍝 You know how much we love taking a just-for-fun holiday and creating learning opportunities from it!

So today we're serving up a little pasta-bility for play!

Get your pasta out of the pantry and into playtime with a few creative OT-tips for ways to support fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory exploration, and more.

The best part? You probably already have everything you need at home!

Swipe through for some pasta-inspired play ideas, and remember: there's no right or wrong way to explore. Follow your child's interests, get creative, and let play lead the way!

A little safety reminder: Uncooked pasta can be a choking hazard, so choose activities appropriate for your child's age, and supervise their pasta-play!

🌈 October 26–30: SPIRIT WEEK! Our Emerge teams are dressing up all week long, and we can't wait to see everyone's creativity. Check with your clinic for daily themes!

🍿 November 6: Pop By Emerge! We're inviting our local community providers to stop in our Cary clinic, enjoy some lunch, and connect with our team. More to come!

Kayla Tilicki, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a Speech Language Pathologist and most delightful source of sunshine in our Carrboro Clinic! Kayla - your vibrant personality and genuine excitement for the children you work with is so inspiring and special. Thank you for sharing your joy with all of us - we're so lucky to have you on our crew! (Not to mention the baked goods you grace us with too 🍪)

Kayla was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She attended the University of Arizona, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with a certificate in Developmental Disabilities and a minor in American Sign Language (2021), as well as a Master’s degree in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences (2024).

Kayla additionally completed a fellowship with the Arizona Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental Disorders (Arizona LEND) and trained with Healthy Children’s Project to become a Certified Lactation Counselor.

She is passionate about working with AAC, Neurodevelopmental disorders, neurodiversity, early language development, and especially bringing play and joy into all sessions. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys quilting, crocheting, reading, and hiking around the area!
