Reminder about our influenza vaccine drive-through clinic tomorrow morning at our north Durham office from 830-11am, same traffic flow as in previous years on the map below. If you don't already have an appointment scheduled, it is too late but we will have another on October 24. See you tomorrow!

Reminder that our influenza vaccine clinic is this upcoming Saturday September 17th from 8:30-11am at our north Durham office. For those getting COVID vaccines (6 months-11 years old) too, we will do both from 8:30-9:30am. We have limited weekday appointments for flu/COVID vaccines due to high demand so we encourage those interested to sign up for these convenient Saturday morning drive through dates. There are also many community resources who provide flu and COVID vaccines including Durham County Department of Health walk-in hours and most area pharmacies if that is more convenient. Thank you and Happy Retirement to Cheryl, our front office supervisor! For 45 years she has welcomed all of the families coming to see us at our north Durham office with her smile and reassuring presence. She also helped lead and train all of us who work here at Regional Pediatrics. We will miss you Cheryl!

We want to say thank you to Drs. Martinez and Kerr! They are leaving Regional Peds for family reasons and we are sad to see them go but excited for them as they start new adventures.
Drs. Wang, Makar, Murray, Schwartz, Ruderman, Stephens, Miller, Moore and Lotz will continue to provide excellent care for your children.

AAP President Dr. Susan J. Kressly responds to the recent changes on the CDC’s website - “The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website has been changed to promote false information suggesting vaccines cause autism. Since 1998, independent researchers across seven countries have conducted more than 40 high-quality studies involving over 5.6 million people. The conclusion is clear and unambiguous: There’s no link between vaccines and autism. Anyone repeating this harmful myth is misinformed or intentionally trying to mislead parents.

We call on the CDC to stop wasting government resources to amplify false claims that sow doubt in one of the best tools we have to keep children healthy and thriving: routine immunizations. The American Academy of Pediatrics stands with members of the autism community who have asked for support in stopping this rumor from spreading any further."
