Some quick safety reminders
✅stay hydrated. It is hot and humid this weekend ! Aim to drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of non caloric, alcohol free liquid. Water, iced tea

seek shade and shelter. Give yourself a break from direct sunlight and cool off. Please keep infants, elderly and pets inside or outside very briefly

apply and reapply your sunscreen. One full one ounce (shot glass) to all sun exposed body parts and reapply every 2-3 hours
Be safe, have fun

Start your weekend with a treat !

We’re all looking forward to National Doughnut Day this Friday, June 5. While the holiday sounds like a modern-day marketing ploy, it actually dates back to 1938, invented to honor the “Doughnut Lassies” of World War I.

Board-Certified Dermatologists: The Unicorns 🦄

When it comes to your skin, hair, and nails, it matters who is treating you.

A board-certified dermatologist completes:

✔️ 4 years of medical school
✔️ 1 year of internship
✔️ 3 years of dermatology residency
✔️ Often an additional 1–2 years of specialized fellowship training

That’s 8–10+ years of advanced medical education and hands-on training after college.

Board-certified dermatologists are physicians with expertise in:

✨ Medical dermatology
✨ Skin cancer detection and treatment
✨ Hair and scalp disorders
✨ Nail diseases
✨ Surgical and procedural dermatology

Your skin is your largest organ. Make sure it’s in the hands of a physician who has dedicated years to mastering its care.

Know who is treating you. Choose board-certified dermatology.
