The pediatric radiology community showed up in Boston, and so did the momentum. The conversations that started last week won't stop here.
IPR 2026, hosted by the The Society for Pediatric Radiology & ESPR- European Society of Paediatric Radiology, made one thing clear: the interest in functional lung imaging is real, and it is growing.
A standout moment: Katie Donohoe and colleagues at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center presented "Translating Xenon MRI into Practice: Insights from Two Years of Clinical Implementation." Hearing from a team that has brought Xenon MRI into actual clinical care for pediatric patients is exactly the kind of proof point this field needs.
The question threading through the entire meeting: how do we get more meaningful answers for children with pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disease, without adding to their radiation burden? Xenon MRI offers a path forward, with regional lung function visualization in a short, single breath-hold exam and no ionizing radiation required.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn about the XENOVIEW® MRI Platform! We are proud to be part of this community and the future of pediatric lung imaging.
Every child deserves imaging that provides meaningful clinical insights, without the burden of ionizing radiation. That work is already underway.
