Jessica Winebarger is a trauma-informed Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 7 years of experience helping families and individuals find healing from anxiety, depression, and trauma. She is also a certified yoga instructor who integrates intuitive movement and nervous system regulation exercises into her sessions.

Her passion for maternal mental health developed when she herself struggled with postpartum anxiety, depression, and rage following the birth of her son. Even as a mental health therapist, Jessica felt uneducated and unprepared to handle the struggles of early motherhood. These struggles transformed into a passion to advocate and support other parents during this challenging time. Jessica helps individuals from pregnancy through early parenthood heal and become empowered to be the parents they want to be.

Jessica is an EMDR trained clinician and also utilizes somatic experiencing, internal family systems (IFS), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to personalize the therapeutic process for each individual. Jessica aims to treat the whole person: body, mind, and emotions. She specializes in focusing on healing the body's response to stress, trauma, and mental health struggles as a means to regulation and empowerment.

During sessions with Jessica, you can expect to be met with empathy and non-judgement. She creates a peaceful, safe environment where you are able to let your guard down and safely process with her support. Jessica strives to empower you with education and coping tools that you can use throughout the week between sessions. She will work with you to develop your own personalized goals and treatment plan that aligns with your personality and situation.

Three years in a row.
We’re deeply honored to be recognized as a Best of Durham winner once again.
Durham is where our practice began, and it will always be a special part of our story. Today, however, our clinicians have the privilege of working with clients across North Carolina, helping people access care in the communities where they live.
Awards are meaningful, but what matters most to us is the opportunity to show up for our clients every day with compassion, expertise, and care.
Thank you, Durham. Thank you, North Carolina. We’re grateful to be part of your communities.

Some conversations deserve more space, more honesty, and more compassion.
In this powerful episode of Mama Needs a Moment, we’re opening the door to the kinds of maternal grief that don’t always get named — miscarriage, infertility, identity shifts, and even the quiet ache of watching your children grow.
We are especially proud that our CEO and Founder, Kelly, was part of this meaningful conversation, helping shed light on experiences that so many carry but few openly discuss. Together, we’re creating space for vulnerability, connection, and healing.
Tune into Mama Needs a Moment to join the conversation.

Traumatic birth experiences can affect relationships, communication, identity, and emotional connection long after delivery.
Many partners want to help but don’t always know how.
Support doesn’t require having the perfect words. Often, the most healing thing someone can hear is:
“I believe you.”
Birth trauma and postpartum PTSD are real — even when others minimize the experience.
If you or someone you love is struggling after birth, support is available.
