On Day 4 of PA Week 2026, NCAPA brought together PA leaders from across NC for a roundtable focused on data, best practices, shared challenges, and actional strategies. The conversation reinforced the importance of bringing leaders together to exchange ideas, identify opportunities for growth, and turn shared insights into meaningful progress for PAs across our community.

We’re proud to share Governor Josh Stein’s official proclamation recognizing October 6-12, 2026 as PA Week across our state!

This week is about celebrating the incredible PAs who care for patients, strengthen healthcare teams, expand access to care, and make a difference in communities across North Carolina every single day.

And this year, the celebration is even more meaningful as NCAPA marks ✨50 years✨of supporting, connecting, and advocating for North Carolina’s PA profession.

From the birthplace of the PA profession to the thousands of PAs practicing across our state today, there’s so much to be proud of – and so much to celebrate.

NCAPA members are taking their voices to Capitol Hill! 🏛️🎓

This week, NCAPA student and professional members traveled to Washington, DC, to participate in legislative advocacy and gain firsthand experience in how healthcare policy is shaped at the annual AAPA Leadership and Advocacy Summit. From meeting with policymakers to learning more about the legislative process, these current and future PAs are engaging in meaningful conversation and advocating for their patients and the profession.
