Happy Friday! Here is our fun fact of the week.
Did you know bees don’t have ears like we do? Instead, they “hear” through tiny sensory organs in their antennae and by detecting vibrations in the air and surfaces around them. This helps them communicate and stay in sync with the hive!

The "Loudest House in the NHL" definitely lived up to its reputation on Tuesday night!

Dr. Wellons attended the Carolina Hurricanes watch party and recorded sound levels throughout the entire game. Between the cheering, goal celebrations, and nonstop excitement, she was very glad she wore her earplugs!

We love the energy of Hurricanes fans, but all that noise is a great reminder that loud sounds can impact your hearing over time. Sound levels 85 decibels or above can damage hearing, and the watch party had an average of 96.3!

Need earplugs? We've got you covered!
-Stop by our office and pick up a pair of earplugs.
-Attending a Hurricanes game tonight? You can also find complimentary earplugs at Han-Dee Hugo's Marketplace in Sections 126 and 314.

Protect your hearing so you can keep cheering for years to come! ❤️🖤

Twin Alert!!

Sometimes great minds really do think alike! Today, Dr. Wellons and Angie showed up wearing nearly identical outfits, completely by coincidence!
We're grateful for a team that works together so seamlessly, even when it comes to wardrobe choices. 😊

Hearing loss doesn’t just affect your ears—it affects your brain.

When hearing becomes harder, your brain has to work overtime just to keep up with conversations. Over time, this extra strain can take away from memory, focus, and overall cognitive health. In fact, research continues to show a strong connection between untreated hearing loss and an increased risk of cognitive decline.

The good news? Treating hearing loss is one step you can take today to support your brain tomorrow.

Your brain and your hearing are on the same team—take care of both.

Schedule a hearing evaluation this month and take a proactive step toward protecting your brain health.
