At WorkCare Resources, workplace and public safety will always matter.

As conversations continue around the potential rescheduling of THC to a Schedule III drug, we believe it is critical that employers, safety professionals, and community leaders stay informed and engaged.

This discussion is not about personal opinions regarding ma*****na use. It is about protecting the public in safety-sensitive positions where impaired judgment could place lives at risk.

Imagine:
🚌 A school bus driver transporting children
✈️ An airline pilot responsible for hundreds of passengers
🚛 A commercial driver operating an 80,000-pound vehicle
🏭 Employees working around heavy equipment and machinery

These positions require alertness, sound judgment, and safe decision-making every single day.

We support a Safety Carve Out that ensures federal DOT and other safety-sensitive industries maintain the ability to test for THC as part of workplace safety programs.

Now is the time for employers and safety advocates to educate themselves and communicate with local legislators and congressional representatives regarding the importance of maintaining strong safety protections.

Safety should remain the priority. Contact your local representatives and request support of a DOT Safety Carve Out.
