🎒📚 Back-to-School Means Back to Backpack Safety! 🍎✏️

As students head back to the classroom, don't forget that a heavy backpack can lead to neck, shoulder, and back pain.

Here are a few simple backpack safety tips:
✅ Keep the backpack under 15% of your child's body weight
✅ Always wear both shoulder straps
✅ Adjust the straps so the backpack fits snugly against the back
✅ Make sure the backpack rests in the middle of the back, not hanging too low

Small changes can make a big difference in preventing aches, pains, and poor posture throughout the school year.

💙 At Acu-Chiropractic, we're here to help kids and families stay healthy, active, and ready for a successful school year. If your child is experiencing back, neck, or shoulder discomfort, we're happy to help!

May is National Osteoporosis Awareness Month 🦴

Osteoporosis is often called the “silent disease” because bone loss can happen without noticeable symptoms until a fracture occurs.

The good news? Early awareness, healthy lifestyle choices, and expert care can help protect your bone health and reduce future risks.

Your bones support you every day — make sure you’re supporting them too.

How to protect your bone health before a fracture happens:
✔️ Get enough calcium and vitamin D
✔️ Stay active with regular weight-bearing exercise
✔️ Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol intake
✔️ Maintain proper nutrition for lifelong strength and mobility

Building strong bones starts early, but it’s never too late to take steps toward better bone health.
