We had such a fun summer filled with traveling, camping, time with friends and family, and LOTS of ice cream dates!🍦😋 Here are a few snapshots from our adventures!

A child’s oral rest posture, including closed lips, a tongue resting on the palate, and nasal breathing, helps build the foundation for clear speech sounds. When these patterns aren’t established, children may have a harder time developing some speech sounds or maintaining them consistently.

By 24 months, your toddler is blooming into a little communicator! Here’s what many 2-year-olds are starting to do:
🗣️ Use 2–3 word phrases (“more milk,” “mommy come”)
📚 Have a growing vocabulary (often 50+ words, and counting!)
👂 Follow simple directions (“get your shoes”)
🧠 Understand more than they can say
💬 Try to imitate words and sounds they hear
Every child grows at their own pace—but talking, reading, and playing together every day makes a big difference 💛
If you have concerns, trust your instincts and reach out—you are your child’s best advocate!
