👋 Well Hello Again, it's me Michael, I handle all the behind the scenes stuff at Family Chatterbox.
My job is to make sure our team can focus on doing what they love, providing your kiddos with the best therapy possible and not get bogged down with anything business or logistics related. If you live in MN you know Minnesota has definitely made many changes and has presented new challenges that have kept me plenty busy this past year.
However, I love getting to be apart of this amazing team. They are the best.

📣 Clapping out syllables is one of my favorite ways to help kids boost their speech clarity!
When we break words into smaller beats—like ba-na-na or spi-der—kids learn to slow down, feel the rhythm of the word, and produce each sound more clearly.
👏 + 🗣️ = clearer speech
Try it during play, snack time, or while reading together. Little moments add up. 💪

✨👑 Sleeping Queens isn’t just a card game — it’s a language‑building powerhouse. 👏
While kids are rescuing queens and dodging dragons, they’re also strengthening:

Vocabulary — new words like “potion,” “knight,” “spell,” and “dragon” spark rich conversations
Storytelling skills — every turn becomes a mini‑narrative
Memory & attention — essential foundations for following directions and processing language
Flexible thinking — choosing strategies and explaining their choices builds expressive language
Play is the best teacher, and this game delivers.
Speech + fun = a royal win 👑✨

Big feeding win alert! 🎉
When your child finally starts chewing with their back molars instead of nibbling with their front teeth like the cutest little rabbit you’ve ever seen… it’s a moment worth celebrating.
Learning to move food to the back of the mouth is a huge developmental step. It helps kids break down foods more safely, explore new textures, and feel more confident at mealtimes. And honestly? It often takes time, practice, and lots of patience.
So if your kiddo just made the leap from “tiny bunny bites” to real, purposeful chewing — cheer them on. That’s progress worth noticing. 💛🥕🦷
Tell me your favorite feeding milestone lately — I love celebrating these wins with you.

“Ms. Kasey, this tower is trifficult!” 😂
Kids are the best accidental linguists. When the words “tricky” and “difficult” just aren’t enough… why not combine them into something even better?
Little mash‑ups like this show your child is experimenting with language, playing with sounds, and trying to express themselves in the most creative way they know how. And honestly? We’re here for it.
Here’s to all the trifficult moments that make childhood (and parenting) so much fun. 💛✨
Tell me your favorite kid‑made words — I promise they’ll make my day.

Happy warm weather!! It’s me, Amber! This is one of my favorite times of year (other than Fall). I love the changing of the weather and being outside when it is not so cold! It is so great to feel the warm weather, longer days, and new beginnings. 🌸
This is also a time that things start to ramp up get busy for my family, which is always exciting! While we are definitely movers and love to stay busy and get out all year, spring and summer are the time that my kids start all sports and activities. Mine have started adventuring out and trying new sports and activities, which has been fun to watch them grow and be brave! We have also been going to different games and cheering on some of the “big kids”! ⚽️ 🏀
As the weather gets warmer, what do you and your family like to do outside?! Asking for a friend! 🤭

✨ Want to boost your child’s speech and language skills in a simple, everyday way? Try adding visual cues. Kids learn best when they can see what words mean.

Think:
👋 A wave when you say “bye-bye”
📦 Pointing to objects as you name them
😊 Exaggerated facial expressions for new sounds
🖼️ Pictures or gestures to support new vocabulary

Visual cues give kids an extra anchor to understand, remember, and use language. Tiny tweaks, big impact.

You’re not just teaching words — you’re helping their brain make connections that stick. 🌱💬

Playing First Orchard and Orchard by HABA isn’t just fun—it’s foundational learning in disguise 🍎🌈
These games build early cooperation skills, color recognition, counting, and turn‑taking, all while giving little ones the joy of working together instead of competing.
Small hands, big learning moments. 🧺✨

Who else wants a crystal ball?! 🔮 🙋‍♀️
SO many of our parents ask us if their child will grow out of their speech sound errors. Long story short, it really depends on a lot of factors. A couple of things we think are important to remember:

1. The tongue is a muscle (so the earlier we can teach it the correct movements the BETTER!) 😃
2. The brain remembers what it does the most (we don't want to have to undo habits to learn new ones, better to start with the right pattern from the get go!) 🧠
3. If you feel like your child makes unusual or "wonky" speech sounds, you're probably right. If it feels like their "own language", it's best to seek support early! 👏
Want to know our thoughts about your child's errors specifically?! Reach out! We're always here to help! 👍
